On January 15 of 2017, HUST Alumni Association of Sri Lanka (HUST-AASL) received its first donation of 100, 000 LKRs from China Top Universities Admissions Service Co., Ltd (CTUAS), one of the leading international student service companies operated by a group of HUST alumni in Wuhan, China.

Dr. Hiran Wimalaratne, President of the HUST-AASL, was happy to receive the donation and he thanked for the generosity of Mr. Yu Yanwei, an Alumnus of HUST and CEO of CTUAS, China.

Mr. Yu Yanwei said that he was quite willing to help more Sri Lanka students to study in China Top Universities especially in HUST and he will do what he can to support the development of alumni individuals and the HUST-AASL.

Mr. Lan Hanghang and Mr. Ai Xiao, officers from HUST, graced the donation ceremony during their participation of the 3rd Study in China Education Expo held by CTUAS in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Dr. Thithit, Chief Brand Officer of CTUAS, China, Professor Thilakasiri, former Director General of SLIDA, Dr. M.M.D.R. Deegahawature, Secretary of the HUST-AASL, Dr. T.K. Karandaketiya, Treasurer of the HUST-AASL, and other alumni members in Sri Lanka also attended the ceremony and shared the great joy and gathering together.
