On November 15th, about 90 international students from over 30 countries attended Wuhan City Tour that lasted about one day. Under the guide of 10 HUSTer volunteers, the international students visited Hubei Province Museum, Hankou Riverside Park and Changchun Temple.
The visit in the museum in the morning enabled the international students acquire a better understanding of the history of Hubei Province. The aged exhibitions in the hall and inviting chime performance had deeply impressed the students who were overwhelmed by the profound Chu culture. The afternoon witnessed the international students enjoyed themselves through a visit in the Hankou Riverside Park where the Yangtze River ran though with waving reeds dotted along the bank. The students added special vitality to the park by playing games, walking along the riverside or taking photos in the reeds. What followed was a trip in the Changchun temple that featured classic Taoist. The interpreter from the temple explained to the international students about the Taoist from its architecture, costumes, god system, sacrifice functions and doctrines. For many international students, it was their first time to experience Taoist and questions in excitement were put up frequently by them during the visit. After the tiring one-day trip, many students expressed that this visit was meaningful.
City tour in Wuhan was organized by the School of International Education in our university and undertook by SICA ( Student International Communication Association), aiming at providing a channel for the international students on campus to better understand Wuhan and Chinese culture. It’s held once a semester and won great popularity among the international students on campus.
11月15日，我校来自30多个国家的约90名留学生参与了期一天的City Tour武汉城市一日游活动。在10名华科学生志愿者的带领下，留学生们参观了省博物馆，汉口江滩和长春观三个景点。
上午的省博物馆参观让学生很好地体验了楚文化，更好地了解了湖北的历史渊源，历经沧桑的展品和恢弘悠扬的编钟表演让留学生们对博大精深的楚文化啧啧称奇。下午留学生们兴致不减，到汉口江滩一睹长江的风采，飘逸的芦苇荡和奔流不息的长江水诠释着武汉江城独特的魅力，留学生们在江滩公园或玩互动游戏，或漫步江边，或嬉戏芦苇荡，为江滩增添了几分特别的色彩。随后留学生们又在英语解说员的带领下参观了长春观，临时下起的小雨为青砖黛瓦的庙宇营造了一种神秘悠远的意境，留学生们对道家的佛像和法事充满好奇，很多学生第一次接触道家文化，兴奋地拍照，问导游各种关于道教的问题。活动结束后，留学生们回到学校，尽管疲乏，但都表示这次活动很有意义。
City tour(武汉城市一日游)由我校国际教育学院主办，SICA国际学生交流协会承办，每学期一次，旨在让在校留学生更好地了解了武汉和中国文化，受到了在校留学生的广泛好评。
