On November 14, 2015, 14 representatives of international students visit a Chinese rural community named Tongshan in Changgang Town, Ezhou City, Hubei Province. They get close to new life in Chinese village and know more about China.

In the public service center of the community, the officer tells students that great changes have taken place in Tongshan Village since it joins the Development Program of Urban and Rural Integration.“In the past years, if we want to apply for some certificates such as marriage certificate, we have to go downtown, but now it’s much more convenient! When we bring complete certificates and materials to this service center, we can get the certificate instantly.”“Wow，it’s sounds like the Citizen’s Home in Wuhan！”the students show their viewpoints after knowing the procedures. The students also visit vineyard and streets in the village.

In the new community of Tongshan Village, the international students feel the harmonious atmosphere everywhere: clean and broad streets with lights stand on each side of the road, open and broad squares, beautiful buildings in classical style, villagers get together to chat or play games in their spare time, enjoy the peaceful and wonderful life……the students show their praise to the development achievements in Chinese villages. The new community of Tongshan Village is a typical case of “Development Program of Urban and Rural Integration” in Hubei Province. On July 22, 2013, China’s president Xi Jinping visited this village.

      11月14日，我校14名国际学生代表走进鄂州长港镇峒山村，亲身感受中国农村的新面貌。

      在社区公共服务站，工作人员介绍了峒山自城乡一体化建设以来的巨大变化。“以前，村民办事情，比如结婚证，要往镇里市里跑。现在方便多了！来这里只要证件齐全，立等可取。”“哎呀，这不是像武汉的“Citizen’s Home（市民之家）嘛！”在了解到村民办事流程之后，国际学生赞叹道。随后，大家又参观了社区街道和葡萄园。

      在峒山新社区，整齐的路灯、宽敞的广场，映衬着四周古典式的楼房；闲暇之际，村民们聚在一起休闲、聊天，充分享受新社区带来的生活乐趣……国际学生对中国的新农村建设成就惊叹不已。来自危地马拉的“武汉媳妇”塞莉娅在微信朋友圈上分享了她的感受，“（社区行）帮我扩大了我的中国知识。”

      峒山新社区是湖北省推进城乡一体化的缩影。2013年7月22日，国家主席习近平视察了该社区。
