2021 Int'l Student Online Promotional Session ① || Gabon & Benin

On the afternoon of 20th March, the 2021 International Student Promotional Session of Huazhong University of Science and Technology-Gabon and Benin in Africa Special Session was successfully held at HUST.

Mr. YU Wenchang, Program Officer of the International Admission and Cooperation Office of the School of International Education, and Mr. Brice, Vice Chairman of the African Fondation Educator Company attended the session. Representatives of students and staff from Gabon and Benin in Africa also participated in this event.

Mr. Brice commenced the event by giving an overall introduction to the Fondation Educator Company in French, displayed promotional videos of HUST, and gave a brief illustration to admission programs and scholarship application of HUST.

Afterward, YU Wenchang gave an introduction of the college scale, development history, comprehensive ranking, discipline construction, international cooperation, outstanding alumni, and international education of HUST. Further, he demonstrated an online learning platform "DISCOVER AT HUST" and a series of high-quality online courses developed during the post-epidemic period to students and staff invited, and encouraged African students to learn preparatory courses, Chinese language and Chinese culture courses through online platforms during this special period, so as to make sufficient preparation for studying at HUST in advance.

Subsequently, Kevin, a Gabonese student from our school, also participated in this presentation. He shared his rich and fulfilling learning experience as well as lively and interesting campus life at HUST, and provided the students and staff from Gabon and Benin with a bright prospect of studying abroad. The participants showed great interest to study at HUST, and asked questions regarding admission qualifications and documents required, scholarship policies, and our school majors.
