2015/2016 HUST Outstanding International Students (Postgraduates) Awarding Ceremony was held on March 6th successfully. Ms Zhao Xiaofeng, vice dean of School of International Education, Mr Lan Hanghang, director of International Student Office, and the HUST Outstanding International Students winners attended the ceremony.

In order to honor international students for their academic achievement and contributions during their study in HUST, the University has made an evaluation and selection of outstanding students in 2016 according to the HUST Regulations on Selection of Outstanding International Students (postgraduates) based on students’ application and the nomination and recommendation from supervisors and schools.

Since international students’ assessment system was initiated in 2016, it was the first time that HUST held an awarding ceremony for international students. 42 postgraduates have met the criteria and they are granted by the university the honor of HUST Academic Excellence Award and HUST Outstanding Volunteer respectively of the academic year 2015-2016. Regarding Academic Excellence Award winners, many of them published essays on A-level journals. Mr. REZVANI SEYEDALI, a Doctoral candidate from School of Physics gave a speech as a representative.

Vice Dean of School of International Education, Mrs. Zhao Xiaofeng, awarded each winner with an honorary certificate and made a speech. In the future, HUST will spare more effort to encourage international students.
