2015 HUST Freshman Admission Scholarship Award Ceremony was held successfully on November 27th, in D9 teaching building. Admission officer Mr  Ai Xiao, undergraduate student affairs officer Ms Yan Wei，class supervisor of Telecommunication Mr Zhou Hongkuan, class supervisor of Mechanical Design Mr Wei Shuang, and approximately 150 undergraduate freshmen participated in this ceremony.

This year, a total of 25 undergraduate freshmen have been awarded with the Freshman Admission Scholarship, among which 11 winners are from MBBS, 1 from Nursing program, 5 from Pharmacy program, and 4 winners from Telecommunication and Mechanical major respectively. Mr Ai Xiao awarded each winner with an honorary certificate and each student will be receiving 2000RMB subsidy from the university. One of the winners from MBBS program, Mr HENDRIK POOL from South Africawas so excited that he expressed his determination to value the opportunity to study in HUST and promise to repay his parents with outstanding academic performance and never let dearest teachers down.

The main purpose of the ceremony is to encourage international students with outstanding high school background to study in our university and stimulate learning initiatives among all newly-enrolled undergraduates.

 2015级本科留学生新生入学奖学金授予仪式举行

(通讯员马雪梅、严薇) 2015年11月27日下午4时，2015级华中科技大学本科留学生新生入学奖学金授予仪式在东九教学楼成功举办。参加此次授予仪式的有国际教育学院招生项目主管艾霄老师、本科学生事务负责人严薇老师、2015级通信工程专业班主任周宏宽、2015级机械设计专业班主任魏爽，以及全校2015级留学生新生近150人。
       本学年全校共有25名本科留学生获得了新生入学奖学金，其中临床医学全英文授课MBBS项目获奖新生11人、护理全英文授课项目获奖1人、药学项目获奖5人、以及通信工程项目和机械设计制造及其自动化专业各4名新生获奖。招生项目主管艾霄老师分别为上述学生颁发了荣誉证书，且每位获奖者将额外获得学校给与的2000元学习补助。来自南非的MBBS项目新生毕仁获奖后抑制不住内心的喜悦，表示一定会珍惜来华中科技大学留学的机会，以优异的成绩回报远在南非的父母，绝不辜负学校老师们的期望。

此次活动旨在鼓励高中阶段成绩优异的本科新生进入我校学习，同时激励新生入学后能够继续再接再厉，不断提高在校期间的学习积极性。
