Armenian delegation of the Information Technology Application and Development Seminar paid a five-day visit to our university from May 2^nd to May 6^th of 2016. This was the Wuhan-branch Training Program of 2016 Armenia Information Technology Application and Development Seminar, organized by the UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research) Asia-Pacific training center (Hubei Center) and HUST, to facilitate implementation of foreign-aid training programs by the Ministry of Commerce. There were 20 officers from Armenia Ministry of Information and Telecommunication, including the director of Information and Communication Division.

The delegation visited Wuhan Branch of China Telecom Corp Ltd. Representatives from both sides had an in-depth exchange of views on telecom core network, national telecommunications trunk network and the development of new business.

They also visited the National Laboratory for Optoelectronics at HUST. Professor Yang of Stereoscopic Vision Laboratory gave a lecture to the delegation on the subject of development and application of optical imaging technology.

In addition, the delegation visited the Wuhan urban planning exhibition hall, learning about the history and planning of Wuhan; They also visited Wuhan Fiberhome Telecommunication Technology Corporation, watching and learning the manufacturing process of optical fiber products and broadband data products.

At last, the delegation paid a visit to the School of Electronic Information and Communication at HUST. An International student demonstrated a robot designed by himself for the delegation, which raised great interest among the delegation members.

亚美尼亚信息技术应用与发展研修班代表团访问我校

（撰稿，陈骏；翻译，张朝瑞）2016年5月2日至6日，亚美尼亚信息技术应用与发展研修班代表团来我校进行了为期5天的访问和培训。本次访问活动是为配合国家商务部援外培训计划的顺利实施，由我校与联合国训练研究所亚太地区培训中心（湖北中心）共同承办。代表团成员均为亚美尼亚通讯部和电信部官员，共有包括通讯部通讯信息司司长在内20人。

代表团参观了中国电信有限公司武汉分公司，随后双方代表人员就电信核心网、电信国家干线网以及新业务的发展做了深入的交流和讨论。

代表团还参观了华中科技大学国家光电实验室，立体视觉实验室的杨铀老师给学员做了一场以光电成像技术的研发和应用为主题的专题讲座。

此外，代表团还参观了武汉城市规划展示馆，学习和了解武汉的城市规划和历史；访问了武汉烽火科技有限公司，现场观摩了光纤产品、宽带数据产品的生产和制造流程。

最后，代表团参观了我校电信学院，电信学院的留学生为大家展示了自己设计的机器人，激起了学员们的强烈兴趣。
