Cambodian Sustainable Development Senior Delegation paid a three-day visit to HUST from April 24th to 26th. The seminar is organized by China Foundation for Peace and Development and HUST, which is in adherence to previous cooperation related between HUST and China Foundation for Peace and Development. Delegation consists of 15 Cambodian senior officials, including Kung Phoak, director of the Cambodian Institute for Strategy Research, Doung Viroth, director of the General Office of Cambodian Central Committee, and Nong Thourk, vice head of Cambodian state television.
The welcoming ceremony was held at the school of Public Administration, attended by Ma Donghui, vice dean of College of Public Administration, Zhao Xiaofeng, vice dean of the School of International Education, and Huang Dong, director of ASEAN Research Center. Then Prof. Wang Bing gave a lecture themed as “Chinese Governance” to the delegation. Kung Phoak, head of the delegation said that as a an important country in the “One Belt, One Road” strategy, Cambodia is focusing on transforming its economic growth mode driven by labor-intensive industry to high-tech industry, hoping that Chinese government and enterprises could enlarge their investment in Cambodia, and HUST and Cambodia could facilitate cooperation and exchange in the fields like engineering, management, medicine in particular.
The delegation also visited Huazhong University of Science and Technology Press(HUSTP). Both sides had in-depth exchanges and discussion on the research and development of digital products, book publishing, and international publishing business. Afterwards the delegation visited Baibuting Community in Jianghan District of Wuhan and HG Genuine, a local leading optical components developer and manufacturer.
柬埔寨可持续发展高级研修班代表团访问我校
（撰稿，陈骏；翻译，陈亭亭）4月23日至26日，柬埔寨可持续发展高级研修班代表团来我校进行了为期四天的参观访问。此次访问是基于和平发展基金会与我校建立的相关合作，由中国和平发展基金会和我校共同承办。代表团成员包括柬埔寨战略研究所所长Kung Phoak、柬埔寨中央办公厅主任Doung Viroth、柬埔寨国家电视台副台长Nong Thourk在内等15名高级别官员。
欢迎仪式在公管学院会议室举行，公管学院党委书记马东卉、国际教育学院副院长赵晓峰、东盟研究中心主任黄栋出席了欢迎仪式。随后公管学院的王冰教授为代表团成员做了一场主题为“中国治理”的讲座。代表团团长 Kung Phoak表示作为中国“一带一路”沿线国家的重要组成成员，柬埔寨正着力推进从依靠劳动密集型产业向依靠高科技产业的转型，希望中国的政府和企业能加大对柬埔寨各领域的投资和支持，也希望我校与柬方能继续推进在工程、管理、医疗等领域的合作与交流。
代表团还参观了华中科技大学出版社，双方就数字化知识服务产品的研发、图书出版、国际出版业务进行了深入的交流和探讨。此外，代表团还访问了江岸区百步亭社区及武汉华工正源光子技术有限公司。
