The Center for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language held an awards ceremony on January 20, 2026, recognizing international students for their outstanding performance in the fall 2025 semester. The event was attended by He Gang, Vice Dean of School of International Education, Yu Zheng, Director of the Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, along with faculty members and students..
The ceremony began in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. In the opening speech, Vice Dean He Gang praised the award recipients and emphasized the vital role of language in fostering cross-cultural understanding. He encouraged students to continue advancing their Chinese proficiency and cultural knowledge, with the hope that they would become future ambassadors of international friendship.

Through a rigorous selection process involving class nominations, faculty review, and final approval, 60 students from various countries received awards in three categories: Academic Excellence, Academic Progress, and Outstanding Contribution.

Student representatives Abdullah Al-Kuraibi and Baranenko Svetlana delivered speeches in fluent Chinese, sharing their learning experiences and expressing gratitude for the guidance and support from their teachers.
