On the afternoon of December 19th, 2018 HUST Fire Safety Training and Safety Work Arrangement was successfully held by School of International Education at the International Student Activity Center. Mr. Wang Gongnan, the Secretary of CPC General Branch of School of  International Education, Ms. Zhao Xiaofeng, vice dean from School of International Education,  staff from School of International Education, staff from International Student Dormitory, staff Residents in dormitory and International Apartment Assistants attended the meeting. Ms. Zhao Xiaofeng hosted the meeting.

Mr. Wu Kaige, instructor from Hubei Provincial Fire Protection Association, fire management expert, firstly gave a lecture on fire safety knowledge for everyone. He introduced the knowledge of fire causes, how to prevent, fire fighting, how to escape, and self-help, etc. with the illustrated PPT demonstration, combining video and on-site demonstration. He emphasized the danger of fire and the importance of fire safety and gave a lively, meaningful lecture to remind us of staying alert of fire all the time.

Mr. Wang Gongnan introduced the recent fire safety situation inside the university, notified all staff and students with recent university’s fire updates, informed the recent safety inspection of international student dormitories and office buildings, made requests for the safety management work at the end of the year, and presented requests for the staff residents and International Student Assistants who resided in the international student dormitories.

Ms. Zhao Xiaofeng summed up the meeting and praised highly of the performance of the staff and student apartment assistants. She hoped that all the participants would create a safe and harmonious apartment accommodation environment under the joint efforts of the university, dormitory office and apartment assistants.

Before the meeting, the responsible staff from the university fire department made several suggestions upon the meeting.

国际教育学院召开消防安全教育暨岁末年初安全工作会议

12月19日下午，国际教育学院在国际学生活动中心召开消防安全教育暨岁末年初安全工作会议。学院党总支书记王恭南、副院长赵晓峰、学院办公室和来华留学办公室相关人员、全校国际学生公寓物业管理负责人、入住国际学生公寓工作人员及部分国际学生公寓安全协管员出席了会议。会议由赵晓峰主持。

湖北省消防协会教官、消防管理专家吴凯歌首先为大家作消防安全知识讲座。他以图文并茂的PPT演示，结合视频回放、现场示范等方式向大家详细介绍了火灾成因预防、灭火、逃生、自救等方面的知识，强调了火灾的危害性和消防安全的重要性，为大家带来了一堂生动、深刻而富有警醒的教育课。

王恭南介绍了学校近期消防安全形势、传达了学校有关通知精神，通报了近期国际学生公寓及办公楼安全检查情况，对做好岁末年初安全管理工作提出要求，并对入住国际学生公寓工作人员和国际学生安全协管员提出了工作要求。

赵晓峰对会议进行了总结，对各位工作人员、学生协管员的工作表现予以了肯定，并希望全体参会人员在学院、物业和公寓协管员的共同努力之下，营造安全和谐的公寓住宿环境。

会前，校消防办有关负责同志对会议的召开进行了指导。
