Spring of HUST

You would not want to miss the chance to roam around HUST in spring. Take your camera, for wherever you go, you will find yourself standing in front of a breathtakingly beautiful painting drawn by mother nature.

Every avenue is decorated with shady trees. Sycamore, elm, poplar and linden, with their masses of dense foliage, work in a harmonious way and create a paradise briming with life. One can not look away without catching a soft shade of green.

On the lawn around the main library, prunus japonica are in full bloom, their petals as pink as the rosy cheeks of a fair maiden. Numerous students and tourists stop by the trees and take photos.

Two lines of jasminum nudiflorum at both sides of Juewangpo (Road of Despair in Chines), stretching 2 miles from east to west, shine brilliantly in their bright yellow. Instead of feeling dismayed by the long ascent, Bikers on Juewangpo now may find it a joyride filled with freshness.

Around D9 Building, pink and white maglonias stand among a mass of green, leaving a soft pink carpet of fallen petals. Several photina serrulatas shed their dark green skin and grow to a purplish red. Strips of willows hang from riverside, and dance to the gentle rhythm of the breeze.

"I love the spring of HUST. One word to put it, it’s soul-reviving!” a foreign student answered when asked about the impression of the campus.
