Recently, the 2022 first “Discover at HUST--Communicative Chinese Program” was successfully completed. The program started on January 24 and ended on February 25, lasting for one month. A total of 40 students from well-known British universities, such as the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford and University of Manchester, participated in the online learning.

近日，我校举办的2022年首期“问学华中大”交际汉语项目完美收官。该项目于1月24日开班，2月25日结束，持续时间一个月，共40名来自剑桥大学、牛津大学、曼彻斯特大学等英国知名高校的学生在线参与课程学习。

Ms. FANG Fang, Ms. LI Ying, Ms. XU Jiasi and other teachers from Center of Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language (TCFL) participated in the online teaching. They gave detailed introduction to Chinese Pinyin rules, basic Chinese sentence patterns, and traditional Chinese culture respectively. Ms. FANG Fang invited all students to sing a song of Chinese tone, and encouraged them to practice the pronunciation of initials and finals as well as introduce themselves in Chinese. Ms. LI Ying conducted interactive teaching on the theme of "Meeting and Greeting", "Knowing Each Other", "School life", "Social Communication", "Personal Hobbies" and "Entertainment and Leisure", so as to help students learn simple but practical Chinese sentence in a short time. Ms. XU Jiasi organized a lively discussion on Chinese food culture and warmly invited students to experience the beauty of Wuhan in person. In the end, all students learned a lot and expressed their sincere gratitude to all the teachers.

对外汉语教学中心房芳、李莹、许佳思等数名老师参与了线上课程教学，她们分别就汉语拼音规则、汉语基本句型、中国传统文化等主题给学生进行了细致讲解。课堂上，房芳带领学生唱起汉语声调歌，鼓励学生大声练习声母、韵母的发音，并尝试用汉语进行自我介绍。李莹围绕“见面寒暄”、“互相了解”、“学校生活”、“社会交际”、“兴趣爱好”及“娱乐休闲”等主题单元展开互动式教学，帮助学生在短时间内学会简单实用的汉语句型。许佳思与学生一起讨论中华美食，介绍中国的饮食文化，热情邀请学生来武汉看看，亲身体验武汉的美食美景。课程结束后，学生纷纷表示收获很大，并对老师们的精彩教学表达了感谢。

In recent years, HUST has been focusing on quality improvement and in-depth development of international student education, and has taken active measures to promote the transformation from large-scale development to high-quality development. This program not only provided a convenient channel for international students to understand China and perceive China's development, but also laid a solid foundation for upgrading HUST international influence and recruiting global high-level talents. In the future, HUST will actively respond to the changes of international education in the post-epidemic period, work to develop more online high-quality courses, and strive to cultivate international talents who understand China, build friendly relationship with China and help one another.

近年来，我校来华留学工作聚焦质量建设，坚持走内涵式发展道路，积极推进来华留学教育从规模发展向高质量发展转变。该项目不仅为国际学生提供了解中国国情、感知中国发展的渠道，同时也为提高我校国际影响力，招收世界名校学生打下良好基础。未来，我校将积极应对后疫情时期国际教育模式变化，开发更多线上精品课程，努力培养“知华、友华、助华”的国际人才。
