6月26日，由国家留学基金管理委员会主办、华中科技大学承办的第三届“感知中国——百名外国博士进光谷”活动在江城武汉举行。来自华中科技大学、武汉大学、中国地质大学（武汉）、华中师范大学、华中农业大学、武汉理工大学和中南财经政法大学等武汉七所高校的百余名中国政府奖学金资助的外国博士生走进烽火科技集团以及汉口北集团等武汉明星企业，多维度了解光谷以及武汉的发展，切身感知中国的进步。
On June 26th, “China Perception – The 3rd 100 International Doctors Explore Optics Valley” sponsored by the China Scholarship Council and hosted Huazhong University of Science and Technology was held in Wuhan. More than 100 international doctoral students from 7 higher education institutions in Wuhan, including Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Central China Normal University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan University of Technology and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law went to some star enterprises in Wuhan, such as Fiberhome Technology Group and Hankoubei Group. Through the journey, they had a multi-dimensional understanding of the development of Optics Valley and Wuhan, and became more aware of China's progress.
活动于在6月26日上午在烽火科技集团开幕。开幕式上，中国国家留学基金委领导首先宣读了留学基金委对本活动的贺信。贺信指出，光谷是中国坚持创新、协调、绿色、开放和共享的发展理念的一个缩影。举办“百名外国博士进光谷”活动，就是要让在武汉的广大奖学金生们走进身边的高新技术企业，深入了解武汉，了解中国改革开放四十年来企业的科技创新成果，以及创新对于中国发展的贡献度。
The event was opened on the morning of June 26 at the Fiberhome Technology Group. At the opening ceremony, the leader from China Scholarship Council read a congratulatory letter from the CSC on this activity. As stated in the letter, Optics Valley is a miniature of China's concept of innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development. This event is aimed to encourage international students on Chinese government scholarships in Wuhan to walk into local high-tech enterprises, and gain an in-depth understanding of Wuhan and the technological innovation achievements of Chinese enterprises during the past four decades of reform and opening up, as well as how technological innovation contributes to China’s Development.
华中科技大学校长助理聂鸣教授、武汉烽火技术服务有限公司副总经理张力女士分别为开幕式致辞。聂鸣教授表示，华中科技大学高度重视培养国际学生。截止目前学校已为全球150多个国家培养了6000多名各类人才，2017年学校招收了来自全球150多个国家的4049名国际学生。他强调，学校在大力发展来华留学教育的同时，也十分重视为国际学生开展各类文化活动，感知武汉，了解荆楚，发现中国。聂明教授鼓励国际学生们在中国快速发展的背景下，把握当前机遇，融入到武汉的发展之中。张力女士从企业发展的人才需求角度出发，肯定了感知中国—百名外国博士进光谷系列活动在吸引以及发展国际人才的积极作用。她表示，烽火集团鼓励国际学生到烽火集团实习及工作。
Prof. Nie Ming, Vice President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Ms. Zhang, and Ms. Zhang Li, deputy General Manager of Wuhan Fiberhome Technical Service Co., Ltd. addressed the opening ceremony. Professor Nie Ming said that Huazhong University of Science and Technology attaches great importance to cultivating international students. Up to now, the school has cultivated over 6,000 talents for more than 150 countries around the world. In 2017, the school recruited 4,049 international students from more than 150 countries around the world. He emphasized that while vigorously developing international student education, the school also attaches great importance to carrying out various cultural activities for international students to help them perceive Wuhan, understand Hubei Province, and discover China. Professor Nie Ming encouraged international students to grasp the current opportunities and integrate into the development of Wuhan in the context of China's rapid development. From the perspective of talent demand for enterprise development, Ms. Zhang affirmed the positive role of “China Perception -100 International Doctors Explore Optics Valley” series in attracting and developing international talents. She said that the Fiberhome Group welcomes international students to do internship or work in Fiberhome Group.
烽火集团还向广大国际学生介绍了“一带一路”服务贸易国际人才校企合作培养基地。该基地由烽火科技集团与华中科技大学合作共建，基地成立后，校企双方就高等教育课程内容与产业发展需求有机结合，在教材开发、师资建设、教材研发、课程设置、就业实习以及技术交流等方面开展全方位合作，为服务贸易、服务外包人才培养探索新路径。广大国际学生可以利用这一平台，走进烽火集团，获得实习以及就业机会。
The Group also introduced the “One Belt, One Road” University-Enterprise Cooperated Training Base of Service Trade International Talents to the international students. The base was jointly established by the Fiberhome Technology Group and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. After the establishment of the base, the school and the enterprise jointly combine the content of higher education courses with the needs of industrial development, and work hand in hand in terms of the development of teaching materials, construction of teaching staff, textbook development, curriculum design, employment&internships and technology communication. This base could explore new paths for promoting service trade and cultivating service outsourcing talents. International students can use this platform to join the Fiberhome Group by obtaining internships and employment opportunities.

After the opening ceremony, the international students visited the laboratory and exhibition hall of the Fiberhome Technology Group, through which, they learnt more about the frontiers of product and technology development of FiberHome Technology Group.
26日下午，外国博士乘车来到汉口北集团，参观了武汉商业博物馆以及小商品市场。在武汉商业博物馆，外国博士们了解了武汉商业发展的历程、武汉在中国商业发展史上的重要作用，尤其是武汉在对外贸易方面的所取得成就。来到小商品市场，国际学生们不禁感叹商品种类繁多，货品物美价廉。不少国际学生甚至采购了一些生活用品。
On the afternoon of the 26th, the international doctors came to Hankoubei Group by bus to visit the Wuhan Commercial Museum and the small commodity market. At the Wuhan Commercial Museum, they learnt about the history of Wuhan's business development and the important role of Wuhan in the history of China's business development, especially Wuhan's achievements in foreign trade. When they came to the small commodity market, the international students couldn’t help but sigh that there were so many kinds of goods with good quality and reasonable price. Many international students even purchased some daily necessities.
感知中国系列活动是由国家留学基金管理委员会面向中国政府奖学金来华留学生组织和开展社会实践和文化体验活动。该活动自2015年发起开始，有效地增进中国政府奖学金生对中国经济、社会发展和传统历史文化的认知和了解，增强了中国政府奖学金生的荣誉感。此次由华中科技大学承办的“感知中国——第三届百名外国博士进光谷”活动，积极响应习近平总书记“一带一路”倡议，落实李克强总理“要做中国光谷 更要做天下谷”的要求以及武汉市“百万大学生留汉创业计划”的号召，在武汉市政府相关部门的支持下，帮助百名外国博士生亲身感受了光谷和武汉的蓬勃发展、便捷的政务服务和企业创新发展活力，同时还搭建了在汉高端国际人才和中国高新产业的交流平台，有效帮助外国留学生认识了中国，感知了中国，取得了圆满成功。
The “China Perception” activities are organized by the China Scholarship Council for international students on Chinese government scholarships with the aimed of encouraging the scholarship winners to conduct social practice and acquire cultural experience in China. Since its launch in 2015, the event has effectively enhanced the awareness and understanding of Chinese government scholarship students on China's economic, social development, traditions, history and culture, and strengthened their the sense of honor.The “China Perception – The 3rd 100 International Doctors Explore the Optics Valley” hosted by Huazhong University of Science and Technology actively responded to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative and implemented Premier Li Keqiang’s instructions of “To Be China’s and even the world’s Optics Valley” and answered the call of “Millions of University Students Start Business in Wuhan” plan by Wuhan municipal government. With the support of the relevant departments of the Wuhan Municipal Government, this activity helped over 100 international doctoral students to experience the rapid development of the Optics Valley and Wuahn, learn of convenient and quality government services and get to know about enterprises’ innovation and vitality. In addition, this activity built a exchange platform for high-caliber international talents and Chinese high-tech industry and helped international students to perceive.
