HUST Paid a Successful Visit to Thailand

On January 6th, the HUST delegation comprised of Mr.Yu Hailin, Director of International Exchange Center, Mr. Lan HangHang, Officer for Scholarship and Admission of School of International Education, Ms. Ma Donghui, Chairman of College of Public Administration, and Mr.Huang Dong, Associate Professor of College of Public Administration arrived in Thailand for a 5-day visit.

During the visit, Professor Prasart Suebka, Rector of Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) met the delegation and signed a Cooperative Agreement with HUST. Mr.Chira Hongladarom, former Vice Rector of Thammasat University had a good talk with HUST delegation and agreed to promote HUST in Thailand and initiate more dialogues between HUST and Thai good universities.

On January 10th, HUST delegation visited the Ministry of Education of Thailand. Ms. Duriya Amatavitat, Director of Bureau of International Cooperation, Ministry of Education of Thailand had a good talk with Mr. Yu Hailin and promised to enhance the relationship between HUST and the Ministry of Education, Thailand.


During the visit, HUST also organized a meeting with Thai alumni and had the first discussion on launching the HUST Thai Alumni Association.

This visit to Thailand is a complete success. It has not only promoted and strengthened the friendly relationship between HUST and Suranaree University of Technology, Thammasat University, and the Ministry of Education, Thailand but also increased HUST’s influnce in Thailand.

Now there are 163 international students from Thailand studying at HUST and the number ranked No.1 in Hubei province.
