-Program Categories

HUST offers a variety of Chinese language programs tailored to different needs and duration:

Long-term Chinese Language Program (One Semester/One Academic Year)
This program provides structured Chinese language courses across six proficiency levels (A to F), catering to students from elementary (A, B) and intermediate (C, D) to advanced (E, F) levels. It is designed to comprehensively enhance students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, significantly improving their overall communicative competence in Chinese.

Core Curriculum: Comprehensive Chinese, Chinese Listening, Oral Chinese, Chinese Reading, Chinese Writing, etc.

3+3 Program (Chinese Language + Internship)
This program combines 3 months of intensive Chinese language study with a 3-month internship at a Chinese company. It is ideal for students seeking to acquire essential Chinese communication skills, gain insights into Chinese culture rapidly, and obtain valuable practical work experience in China.

Core Curriculum: Elementary Comprehensive Chinese, Business Chinese, Chinese Panorama, Chinese Speaking & Listening, etc.

Short-term Program
This immersive program offers a condensed introduction to Chinese language and culture through a blend of lectures, seminars, and cultural activities. It provides a direct and vivid multi-faceted experience of China, allowing participants to form an objective and enriching impression of its profound culture and dynamic modern society.

Core Curriculum: Chinese language classes, thematic lectures, cultural visits, etc.

Note:

Cultural activities such as Tai Chi, calligraphy, Chinese painting, paper-cutting, and Chinese culinary classes will be arranged accordingly for all programs.

2. Eligibility and Requirements

1) Be non-Chinese citizens and hold a valid foreign passport;

2) Be aged between 16 and 35 years old by September 1, 2027;

3) Have a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification (Prospective graduates may submit a certificate of expected graduation for application and must provide the official diploma upon registration);

4) Have no criminal record, be in good physical and mental health, and maintain good academic standing and conduct;

5) Be friendly toward China, and comply with Chinese laws and regulations as well as the rules of HUST.

3. Application and Admission Procedures

Spring Intake: March 1 to July 15, 2027

Application period: October 15 to December 31, 2026

Autumn Intake: September 1, 2027 to January 15, 2028

Application period: October 15, 2026 to June 30, 2027

Step 1.

Log in to the HUST Online Application System at http://admission.hust.edu.cn/.

Step 2.

Choose the program, upload the required documents, complete and submit your application.

Step 3.

Pay the application fee in due time.

Notes:

— All uploaded documents must be clear, complete, authentic, and valid.  Applications with incomplete, false, or fraudulent documents will not be processed.

— Applicants are advised to check the online application system and their registered email for updates on the admission process.

— The university may request additional documents or arrange online interviews with applicants if necessary.

4. Application Fee

After submitting the online application, applicants shall pay the application fee (non-refundable) of 800 CNY by:

√ International bank card (VISA/Master)

Application without payment will be regarded as incomplete and will not be processed.

The application fee is non-refundable once paid.

5. Documents for Application

1) A scanned copy of the passport photo page.

2) Official certificate of the highest education or an official enrollment document from the current institution.

3) Transcripts.

4) Physical Examination Form: A completed health form. (Applicants already in China may upload a personal health certificate or a copy of their valid residence permit instead.)

5) Certificate of Non-criminal Record: An official document issued by a local police station or relevant law enforcement agency.

6) Financial Certification/Bank Statement: Proof of funds equivalent to at least 3,000 USD (Scholarship applicants should upload the scholarship application form).

7) Guardian Documents (for applicants under 18): Certified documents signed by the appointed legal guardian(s) in China.

8) CV or working/internship certificate (for 3+3 program)

Note: All application documents must be in Chinese or English. Documents in other languages must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations.

华中科技大学2027年国际汉语进修生招生简章

一、项目简介

项目类别：

· 长期汉语进修生项目（一学期/一学年）：按汉语水平分设入门至高级6个层级（初级A—B／中级C—D／高级E—F），通过《综合汉语》、《汉语听力》、《汉语口语》、《汉语阅读》、《汉语写作》等核心课程，从听、说、读、写等方面系统提升学习者的汉语综合应用能力。

· “3+3”（汉语+企业实习）项目：3个月的在校汉语学习（含《基础综合汉语》、《商务汉语》、《汉语视听说》、《中国概况》等核心课程），结合3个月的实地企业实习，实现学习者实践能力与文化认知的双提升。

· 短期项目：通过语言课程、专题讲座及文化体验活动，立体化呈现当代中国风貌。

备注：太极拳、书法、中国绘画、中国剪纸、中国美食等文化活动将根据相应课程项目安排。

二、申请资格

1. 非中国籍公民，持有效外国护照；

2. 年龄16-35周岁（截至2027年9月1日）；

3. 高中毕业或应届毕业生（报到时须补交毕业证明）；

4. 无犯罪记录且身心健康；

5. 遵守中国法律法规及校纪校规。

三、申请及录取流程

春季学期：2027年3月1日至7月15日；

申请时间：2026年10月15日至12月31日。

秋季学期：2027年9月1日至2028年1月31日；

申请时间：2026年10月15日至2027年6月30日。

2. 选择项目并上传申请材料；

3. 在线支付申请费。

备注：

· 上传的文件应清晰、完整、真实、有效，否则将不予受理；

· 关于申请和录取进度，建议申请人及时关注系统中的申请状态及电子邮件；

· 我校可根据情况要求申请人提供其他补充材料或安排视频面试。

四、申请费

在提交在线申请后，申请人需缴纳申请费800元人民币，可通过中国银联、支付宝、微信支付或国际银行卡（VISA/MasterCard）在线支付。

未按时缴费的申请将被视为未完成，不予受理。申请费一经缴纳，不予退还。

五、申请材料

1. 护照个人信息页扫描件；

2. 最高学历证明（在读生提供预计毕业证明）；

3. 成绩单；

4. 健康证明：境外申请人提交《外国人体格检查表》，境内申请人可提供健康证明或居留许可；
