A Brief History of Traditional Chinese Medicine

It mainly introduces the famous medical scientists and their achievements in the development of traditional Chinese medicine, and their classic works.

Outline of the basic theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine and their philosophical foundations

Mainly introduces yin and yang, five elements and Chinese medicine's knowledge of life sciences

Natural product research in Traditional Chinese Pharmacy and frontiers of Traditional Chinese Medicine sciences

It mainly introduces the discovery process and mechanism of determining the active ingredients of Chinese medicines that have gained significant clinical efficacy in representative cases, as well as reflections on the future research direction of Chinese medicine.

Visits to Affiliated Hospitals of Tongji Medical College

The visits to Union Hospital and Tongji Hospital gave deep impression to the students. Both hospitals are ranked among top 10 hospitals in China, holding more than 12,000 beds and taking medical education, scientific research, clinical treatment and big social services.

Visiting HUST main campus, and the Yellow Crane Tower which is one of the icons of Wuhan City.

Learning to make dumplings and soup dumplings.

➭Fees

The total cost of the summer school consists of two parts: accommodation & meals and transportation, with a recommended total budget of around RMB 3,900.

Breakdown:

For the first 7 days in Wuhan, participants will stay at the JI Hotel and share a room with another participant. Accommodation costs about RMB 175 per day, totaling approximately RMB 1,050 for six nights. Meals at the university canteen cost around RMB 25 per meal, with a total of about RMB 350. Transportation expenses for site visits will be covered by the School of Pharmacy. The total cost for these 7 days is approximately RMB 1,400.

For the following 7 days in Lushan, the total cost (including accommodation, meals, and train ticket to Lushan) is approximately RMB 2,500.
