His book Confidence Comes from Effectiveness: A Foreigner’s Wuhan Diary 

records what he experienced during the lockdown of Wuhan 

and tells the world a real story of China's battle against COVID-19.

我想借此机会说，

作为一名华中大人和华中大家庭的一员，

我感到十分骄傲。

我现在还在中国生活，

每次去武汉，华中科技大学总是我的第一站。

在校园里与同学、朋友共度的时光，是我最美好的记忆。

在华中大，我们相互支持、共同成长，

一起为建设美好的未来而努力。

我衷心希望世界各地的校友们，

能很快在华中大美丽的校园里相聚。

I'm Adham Sayed, I'm from Lebanon.

As we are celebrating HUST 70th anniversary, 

allow me to express how proud I'm to be a HUST Alumni 

and a member of the HUST family.

As for today, I still live in China, 

and every time I visit Wuhan, HUST is always my first stop.

My most beautiful memories are the ones I made there 

with the nicest people I've ever met. 

In HUST, we stand together, we support each other, we grow together, 

and together we will build a great future for humanity.

From the bottom of my heart, I hope that all Husters, 

from all around the world, can meet again in our beautiful campus very soon.
