Dharsana Deegahawature is our alumnus who graduated from School of Management as a PhD student in June, 2014. He was appointed as Head of the Department of Industrial Management in Wayamba University of Sri Lanka on November 11, 2014.
During his time in HUST, he has contributed a lot to start the relationahip and promote the mutual cooperation between HUST and Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration, and was praised as the Student Ambassador by HUST.

Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, established in 1999, is one of the latest and modern learning and research institutions in Sri Lanka. The university has 4 faculties- Agriculture & Plantation Management, Applied Sciences, Business Studies & Finance and Livestock, Fisheries & Nutrition. Its Department of Industrial Management attempts to build its students to meet the existing industry requirements by carrying out the necessary curriculum and encouraging students to involve in a variety of extra-curricular activities. The department is aimed at becoming a centre of excellence for the development of human resources in the field of Industrial Management to match the national and global trends.
