At 9:00am, Dec. 8th, awarding ceremony for HUST 2015-2016 Honorary International
Undergraduates is held in Room C201, D9 Building. All the international
undergraduates and teachers from School of Electronic Information and
Communications, and School of Mechanical Science and Engineering attended the ceremony.
The
whole ceremony was hosted by Ms Yan Wei, undergraduate program officer from International
Student Office. Ms Yan firstly highly praised international students with academic
excellence, and student leaders who made continuous efforts in class management.
A total of three awards were given during the ceremony, which are Learning Excellence Award, Learning Progress
Award, and Excellent Student Leadership. Ms Yan expressed her hope that
today’s winners will make better progress in the future, and become good
examples to other international students on campus. Afterwards, a total of 20 international
students coming from School of Electronic Information and Communications, and
School of Mechanical Science and Engineering were awarded with the honor
presented by class supervisors. Mr. RANJAN SARMA KAUSHIK from India from the
year of 2013 expressed his gratitude to the university, and determined that he
is going to put full efforts in academic progress in the future with the aiming
to become a great engineer after graduation.
HUST has implemented policies to award outstanding
international undergraduates every year for the purpose to encourage more
international students to make greater progress in academic excellence, student
leadership, volunteers, etc.
华中科技大学2015/2016学年本科外国留学生先进个人颁奖仪式举行
12月8日上午9时，华中科技大学2015/2016学年本科外国留学生先进个人颁奖仪式在东九教学楼C201教室举行。来自我校电子信息与通信学院和机械科学与工程学院的本科外国留学生及留学生班主任们参加了此次颁奖仪式。
此次颁奖仪式由国际教育学院严薇老师主持。严老师首先赞扬了学习刻苦成绩优异的留学生们和长期为班级管理付出努力的学生干部。此次颁奖典礼一共颁发了三个奖项，分别为“学习优秀奖”、“学习进步奖”和“优秀学生干部”，严老师希望此次获奖的留学生们能够再接再厉，不断发挥模范带头作用。随后，留学生班主任们为获奖学生颁奖，来自机械设计制造及其自动化(留学生班)和通信工程(留学生班)的20名学生被授予了荣誉证书。2013级印度留学生撒岸获奖后激动不已，他表示非常荣幸能够获得“学习优秀奖”，作为一名机械专业的本科生，在未来的学习历程中一定扎实学好专业知识，努力成为一名优秀的机械工程师。
据悉，为表彰在校表现优异的外国留学生，树立先进典型，促进外国留学生全面发展，我校出台了相关政策，每年在全校外国留学本科生中评选先进个人予以表彰。
