On the morning of May 29, 2026, Jingwu Community’s signature public welfare brand Children’s Day event was successfully held at Wuhan Yuexiu IFC International Finance Center. For the first time, this event deeply integrated international elements. The School of International Education of HUST was invited to organize international student representatives to actively participate, and joined hands with community children, representatives of caring enterprises and community volunteers to celebrate International Children’s Day together.
International Children’s Day aims to safeguard the rights and interests of children around the world and improve their lives, with a distinct international core. Leveraging this characteristic, this event focused on collaboration and innovatively incorporated an international cultural display session. In the cultural stage performance, international students, dressed in traditional costumes from various countries, performed a classic children’s song with great enthusiasm, fully demonstrating the diverse cultures and youthful demeanor of different nations.
At the event site, the international students from HUST took the initiative to interact and communicate with the children, presenting them with souvenirs and sincere Children’s Day wishes. This joyful and heartwarming scene fully presented a vivid picture of friendly exchanges and cultural integration between them and the community children.
This event marks another important practice for the School of International Education of HUST and Jingwu Community to jointly advance the development of an international community. By stepping out of the campus and engaging in community public welfare services, the international students have demonstrated their proactive integration into local society and spreading kindness. This event has also built a high-quality platform for the community to access diverse cultures, effectively enhancing the quality of Jingwu Community’s international development.
In the future, the School of International Education of HUST will continue to deepen co-construction and cooperation with international communities, polish the “Discover China” brand, organize international students to participate in various community public welfare and cultural exchange activities, guide them to deeply perceive China’s national conditions and understand a true, multi-dimensional, and panoramic view of China, and continuously contribute to Sino-foreign cultural exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations.
