Language Students Enjoyed a Happy Week

On the afternoon of March 9, language students from Class D1 had a little cultural exchange meeting at the grassland near East No.9 Teaching Building. Students from different countries got to know each other by introducing famous scenic spots of their counties. Everyone was having fun!


An interesting barbecue was held among language students from Class D1 and D2 at the forest park on the morning of March 21. Not only had they enjoyed beautiful scenery in the early spring of the park, but also the communication between teachers and students had improved. A student from Korea who came to China for the first time said,” this activity is really interesting, let’s play together like this next time.”


On the afternoon of April 20, the language students from Class D1 held a Chinese paper cutting activity in the classroom A209 of the East No.9 Teaching Building, in order to experience the great culture of paper cutting in China.


A badminton game was held in the west gym among international students of Class D1. Before the activity began, as a professional badminton coach, the Thailand student Chen Yaofa first introduced the rules and matters need attention, and students exercised in pairs under the instructions he told. Even the slim girls who seemed to be weak at sports became a brave warrior when playing on the court.


Another Chinese paper cutting activity was held on the afternoon of April 30 at East No.5 Teaching Building, which provided an extraordinary chance for language students from Class B1 to feel the charm of paper cutting. In the class, the teacher briefly explained historical origin of paper cutting and its technique and the different meaning it represents. With the teacher’s help, they have successfully made double happiness. An Mongolian student Bai Ya said after the activity with her masterpiece in hand, “ thank you guys, I love paper cutting.”


On the afternoon of April 26, international students of Class B3 held a cultural activity in the forest park. First, they started to barbecue by themselves, but with full passion and poor skill, the potatoes were burnt, which was really amusing. And then, the students sang Chinese songs in the park, such asLittle AppleandSweet Honey.The students learned many Chinese during this trip and they were really having much fun.
