On May 31st, “Visiting HubeiChinaTelecom” sponsored by Huazhong University of Science and Technology and co-organized by China Telecom was held successfully. Students from Telecommunication major of 2013 visited Hubei China Telecom and they achieved deeper understanding towards Chinese enterprise management and advanced technological knowledge by communicating and interacting with technical specialists and engineers.

At 14:00pm, May 31st, international students visited the Hubei China Telecom in Hankou. The engineers firstly introduced the 24hr hotline ‘114’ which provides convenient service for local citizens, including online shopping, ordering meals, booking hotels and tickets, etc.

Afterwards, students visited information generating room and the engineers introduced the structure of telecommunication network inChinawhich consists eight main cities:Beijing,Shanghai,Wuhan, etc. and the operational principle between them. In the end, the engineers introduced the advanced technology of 4G and the usage of FFD and TDD technology to the students. They also taught the students how to change the network from 3G to 4G. Students obtained a deeper understanding of high-end technology by attentive listening and open questions.

Mr. ASSEFA MELAKU GIRUM from Telecommunication major of 2013 expressed his appreciation to the organizer of this activity and hoping more chances to visit the local companies to learn high-end technology.

我校留学生参观湖北电信

5月31日，由华中科技大学电子信息与通信学院和湖北电信共同举办的“认知实习——走进湖北电信”在江城武汉举行。来自华中科技大学电子信息与通信学院的2013级本科留学生走进湖北电信总部，亲密接触了中国电信湖北分公司。在与企业负责人的对话中，留学生更加深入地了解中国企业和专业知识。

31日下午2时，华中科技大学组织留学生前往位于汉口的湖北电信总公司。湖北电信的负责人首先向留学生介绍了湖北电信所提供的114服务平台，该平台旨在为广大用户提供便民服务，涵盖了衣、食、住、行等各个方面。

接着，该公司负责人带领留学生们参观了移动通信机房，并向留学生介绍了中国目前互联网主干网络的组成结构。工程师们向留学生详细地介绍了以北京、上海、武汉等八个城市为核心节点的网络分布，介绍实现两地之间实时同步通信的工作原理。最后，工作人员向留学生展示了目前最先进的4G技术的工作原理、4G网络FDD和TDD混合组网基站的部署方式，以及3G/4G功用以及切换方法等。学生们饶有兴致地倾听和提问，与现代尖端通讯技术进行了近距离接触。

过此次认知实习，来自2013级通讯工程留学生班的李勇表示，非常感谢学校提供这次实地参观学习的机会，希望以后能有更多的机会到企业参观，学习更多前沿科技。
