Prof. OUYANG Hongbing

On the afternoon of 14th December, the “Study at HUST” Online Promotional Session for International Students of School of Economics was held. Professor ZHANG Jianhua, Dean of the School of Economics, and Professor OUYANG Hongbing, Deputy Dean of the School of Economics gave a welcoming speech respectively. XIONG Ranran, International Students Counsellor of the School of Economics, also attended the session. The session was hosted by Mr. AI Xiao, Senior Program Officer of the International Admission and Cooperation Office of the School of International Education.

Professor ZHANG Jianhua, Dean of the School of Economics, and Professor OUYANG Hongbing, Deputy Dean of the School of Economics extended a warm welcome to the outstanding youths from around the world and said the School of Economics, HUST, attempts to level up to world-first class on the aspects of international education. XIONG Ranran, International Students Counsellor of the School of Economics introduced school history, teachers’ resources, school scale, and English-taught programs to the audience online, which gave them a full picture of the School of Economics. Students Representatives TALYA ROZENBERG (Israel, undergraduate of 2018 class) and ERIK WOUTER NIJHOF (the Netherlands, Master of 2019 class) shared their study and life at HUST. Both students  expressed that they gained a lot from HUST and hoped to meet freshmen soon.

The School of Economics always attaches great importance to international students’ admission and promotes admission work in a multitude of channels to improve the quality of international students.

12月16日下午，2021国际学生“留学华中大”线上推广系列宣讲经济院专场顺利举行。本次活动由国际教育学院招生与对外合作办公室高级项目主管艾霄主持。

活动伊始，经济学院院长张建华教授、副院长欧阳红兵教授分别用中英文致辞，经济学院努力在国际教育方面向世界一流看齐，他们欢迎各国优秀青年来到华中大学习。国际学生辅导员熊苒苒从学院历史、师资力量、办学条件、英文授课项目等方面向观众介绍经济学院，使会者对经济学院的国际学生培养有更全面的了解。

经济学院在校生代表晨露（以色列，本科18级）和李健（荷兰，硕士19级）分享了他们在华中大的学习情况和日常生活，他们表示在华中大收获丰富也期待早日见到新同学。

经济学院历来重视国际学生招生工作，通过多种途径扩大国际招生影响力，提高国际学生招生质量。
