Mr. HE Gang, Vice Dean of the School of International Education, delivered the welcome address. On behalf of the university, he extended a warm welcome to the visiting UAE delegation and introduced HUST's profile and strengths. He emphasized that the university remains committed to talent cultivation as its core mission, and noted that this summer camp serves not only as a platform for sharing cutting-edge knowledge in advanced technology, but also as an important bridge for deepening mutual understanding and friendship between the youth of China and the UAE. He encouraged the participants to step into laboratories and classrooms while also experiencing campus life and the rich cultural heritage of Hubei Province during the two weeks, broadening their horizons through the interplay of technology and humanities, and become future ambassadors of China-UAE friendship.
Ms. Reem Khamis Nasser Al-Ameri, the faculty lead from Khalifa University, expressed her appreciation to HUST for the well organization. She noted that advanced technology is a strategic technology shaping the future, and this summer camp offers UAE students a valuable opportunity for cross-border learning. She looked forward to the participants making full use of HUST's world-class resources, expanding their global outlook, and returning home with an enriching experience.

Following the faculty remarks, student representatives from both sides delivered speeches. The UAE student representative thanked HUST for the thoughtful arrangements and expressed great anticipation for the upcoming technology courses and cultural activities. The Chinese volunteer representative pledged full support to ensure the participants have a rewarding academic experience and an enjoyable stay, while also looking forward to in-depth exchanges and mutual growth with the UAE students.

During the ceremony, the two sides exchanged gifts as a token of friendship. During the ceremony, the School of International Education also presented a briefing on the "Study at HUST" program, covering the university's academic strengths, student life, and scholarship policies. Afterwards, faculty and students from both sides engaged in free-flowing conversations in a congenial atmosphere.
This UAE Advanced Technology Summer Camp marks a solid step forward in deepening international educational cooperation and fostering sci-tech and cultural exchanges between HUST and Khalifa University. Over the coming two weeks, the participants will take part in a series of frontier technology lectures, hands-on lab sessions, and Chinese cultural visits—immersing themselves in a summer experience where knowledge and culture converge, leaving them with unforgettable memories and lasting insights.
