（通讯员 蔡佳）6月29日，2022年“华中大—牛津大学”暑期实习项目在我校正式开幕。国际教育学院副院长赵晓峰、中欧能源学院教育中心主任刘洋和来自电子信息与通信学院、人工智能与自动化学院、能源与动力工程学院的导师团队出席开幕式。牛津大学的10名本科生在线参加。本次开幕式由国际教育学院招生与对外合作办公室主任严薇主持。
On June 29, the Opening Ceremony of 2022 "HUST-OXFORD" Summer Internship was successfully held at HUST. Ms. ZHAO Xiaofeng, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education, Ms. LIU Yang, Director of Academic Affairs Office, China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy and professors from School of Electronic Information and Communications, School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation and School of Energy and Power Engineering attended the opening ceremony. Ten undergraduates from the University of Oxford participated online. The ceremony was hosted by Ms. YAN Wei, Director of International Admission and Cooperation Office, School of International Education.
赵晓峰首先代表学校对牛津大学的学生参加此次暑期实习项目表示热烈欢迎，并对参与该项目前期工作的教授、老师们表示衷心的感谢。随后，她对项目的发展历程进行了回顾。此次“华中大—牛津大学”暑期实习项目是自疫情发生以来我校首次在线上举行，共招收了10名牛津大学的本科生，她祝贺这10名学生在我校70周年校庆之际成为HUST的一员，并预祝本次项目取得圆满成功。
On behalf of the university, ZHAO Xiaofeng extended a warm welcome to Oxford students and expressed her heartfelt thanks to the professors and teachers who participated in the "HUST-OXFORD" Summer Internship. Then, she reviewed the development history of the project. This year, the "HUST-OXFORD" Summer Internship is launched online for the first time by HUST since the outbreak of the pandemic, and a total of 10 undergraduates from the University of Oxford were recruited. She congratulated these 10 students on becoming a member of HUST community on the occasion of HUST’s 70th anniversary, and wished this project a complete success.
刘洋代表我校导师团队发言，她提到，此次项目采用线上形式，既是一次全新的尝试，也是一次挑战，导师团队将不断摸索、持续完善，给牛津大学的学生们更好的实习体验。
LIU Yang delivered a speech on behalf of the tutor team. She mentioned that the online internship is not only a new initiative, but also a challenge. The tutors and their teams will keep exploring and optimizing to improve every intern’s learning experience.
严薇从学校综合实力、国际排名、学科优势、社会服务、校园环境、特色项目等方面向牛津的同学们进行了宣讲。
YAN Wei gave a detailed introduction to the comprehensive strength, international ranking, academic advantages, social services, campus environment, and “Discover at HUST” online programs of HUST.
本次暑期实习项目为期6周，我校为牛津大学的学生安排了通信工程、可再生能源利用等领域的专业实习，同时还为学生们安排了中国语言文化讲座。通过开展课题组专业实习、举办中国文化课程讲座，让牛津大学的学生们充分感受我校的学术氛围和中华文化的独特魅力。
The summer internship will last for 6 weeks. HUST has arranged professional internships in the fields of communication engineering, renewable energy utilization, etc. as well as Chinese culture lectures for Oxford students, to let them fully experience the academic atmosphere of HUST and the unique charm of Chinese culture.
我校与牛津大学于2013年起联合开展“华中大—牛津大学”暑期实习项目，共有近60名牛津大学的学生参加了该项目。作为牛津大学在中国首个派出学生进行科研实习的单位，我校凭借出色的教学师资和教学成果，两次荣获牛津大学颁发的暑期夏令营金牌徽章。该项目是我校吸引欧美澳新优质生源，选拔优秀国际学生的重要方式，也是促进我校与牛津大学开展文化交流与合作的重要桥梁。未来，我校将继续推进与世界一流大学的深入合作，进一步提升国际知名度和影响力。
Since 2013, HUST and the University of Oxford have jointly launched the "HUST-OXFORD" Summer Internship. Nearly 60 Oxford students participated in the program. As the first university to accept Oxford students for scientific research internships in China, HUST has won two gold medals for summer camps issued by the University of Oxford for its outstanding teaching and research achievements. Through this program, HUST gets better chances to attract high-quality students from world famous universities and select outstanding international students. It also stands as an important communication bridge to promote cultural exchanges and cooperation between HUST and the University of Oxford. In the future, HUST will continue to promote in-depth cooperation with world-class universities to further enhance its international influence.
