On December 8th of 2014, the 25thChinese Traditional Cultural Lecture was held in the Wuhan Westin Hotel. International students from Germany, Czech Republic, Costa Rica and other twenty-three countries attended this program. In total, thirty-seven international students of our school were present.

The lecture started with a video presentation entitled “Wuhan Different Everyday”. This video entailed a brief history of Wuhan, the amazing improvements it has had over the recent years and a glimpse of how huge and highly advanced Wuhan would be in the future. After the insightful video, Director Li Wan, the editor of editorial committee as well as our guest lecturer, made a speech about the ancient and current times of the Tea era in Wuhan, talking about the origins of tea trade, prosperity of tea trading business in China and its neighboring countries. He continued to elaborate the tea trade between China and Russia, which showing the feature of a third culture according to his speech. He further explained how other countries noticed and admired the peaceful relationship between China and Russia because of tea trade.

After the lecture, there was a demonstration on how to prepare the finest and smoothest Chinese tea. The audiences carefully and curiously observed the steps of prepare the tea. “I’m glad to have the chance to learn the art of Tea, and I would like to prepare tea by myself next time.” one student named Wei Li told us.

This lecture was held by Wuhan International Exchange and Communication Center. And the purpose of this event was to expose international students to Chinese culture and help them better understand it.

        2014年12月8 日下午，第25届中国传统文化讲座“走进万里茶道”在武汉万达威斯丁酒店落下帷幕。我校德国、捷克、哥斯达黎加等23国的37名留学生参加该讲座。

本次讲座邀请到长江日报编委、文化部主任李皖担任主讲嘉宾。讲座开场为观众展示了武汉市最新的宣传片“武汉每天不一样”，从当今视角描述武汉并展望往未来。随后李主任借古谈今，从茗饮之事起源、以茶互市的兴起，到图文并茂地描述茶道途径之地各民族之间的文化交流，以及茶贸易促进了第三文化的混生现象等，无不体现出民间贸易的互通互进、生生不息的强大魅力。

讲座中还安排了茶道表演，学生们拥到台前驻足观看。会后我校留学生卫力接受采访风趣地说道：“在德国我只喝过茶包，以后我要自己泡茶。”
