Poland Dance--Ciokta Band performed by Pan Jinfang and her countrymates
"World Wind, HUST Heart", 2015 HUST New Year Gala for Chinese and International Students was held on December 30, 2014 in the lecture hall of School of Management.
When the gala began at 7pm, there were no more vacant seats and the hall was full of international and Chinese students. With the audience’s spontaneous applauds, the starting band brought a series of four warming songs like For the First Time, To All My Friends, I’m Glad You Come and Billie Jean, which aroused enthusiasm of all the present guys. The new year gala was divided into three parts. The first part mainly included distinctive performances from different countries by international students. In the fervent cheer, twelve dancers brought us a fantastic Indian dance. “This Indian dance is my favorite performance through this party. This is my second time to see this part but it gives me different feelings and enjoyments.” A foreign sophomore form Sri Lanka said.

Next part was mainly about the traditional arts of China like folk dance and folk music. One of them—the Drunken Beauty involved both Chinese and foreign actors gained a lot of cheer. The last part showed the youth energy of international students. The students from South Korea brought little apple, a popular song in China last year. Besides, Fahad, who was recognized as “born to be a singer”, performed I’m Back in this part, too. “I am very happy to show others my own country (Pakistan) and it’s a proud of me.” He said.
Behind these performances, voluntary workers from SICA devoted a lot. Before every group went to the stage, the volunteers said “Come on, you are the best” to them; when performers came back from the stage, volunteers hugged them at the first time. “I am just a freshman, so I just made road signals this time. But next year I will try to help with some other tasks. I feel so happy and proud that we made this gala for all international students.” A girl from the advocacy group of SICA said.
The gala was ended in the song Be Deeply Attach to Each Other. Just as the lyric said, tonight all the students from different countries are together. The friendship will continue among all of us.
