Notice on Matters Related to Graduation of International Students of 2020

To all International Graduates：

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the university, in order to ensure the successful completion of the work of 2020 graduation of international students, the relevant matters and requirements are hereby notified as follows:

1. Work arrangements for graduates currently in and out of China

1) For all international students currently in China, the graduation work is in accordance with the requirements of Chinese students, and it will be arranged and notified by the university.

2) International students who are outside of China shall not come to China for recent graduation and thesis defense procedures, which will be organized and completed remotely by respective school.

2. Schedule of graduation work for Undergraduates

1) All graduates (Undergraduates) should accomplish the defense before May 23.

2) Graduation examination, schooling period extension, suspension and other affairs are organized by each school, please pay attention to the school notices.

3. Schedule of graduation work for Postgraduates

1) Deadline for submitting the graduation materials for the defense should be arranged by each school. If you are unable to complete the thesis on time, please report to your supervisors and staff in your school in time. The university also plans to increase the degree review meeting between July and August to minimize the influence on graduation due to the epidemic situation.

2) Students who cannot graduate this semester must apply for the extension of the study period, and related matters have been notified separately.

4. About certificate issuing and university deregistration procedures

International Student Office is responsible for the work related to certificate issuing, and deregistration procedures. Specific matters will be notified separately.

关于2020届国际学生毕业相关事项的通知

全校应届毕业国际学生：

根据教育部和学校的要求，为保障2020届毕业国际学生的工作顺利完成，现将有关事项和要求通知如下：

一、境内外应届毕业生的工作安排

1. 所有在中国境内的国际学生，毕业工作与中国学生要求一致，待学校统一安排。

2. 在中国境外的国际学生，应届毕业生统一不来中国，远程完成毕业答辩所需各项手续并由院系组织远程答辩。

二、本科生毕业工作的进度安排

1. 所有本科毕业生应在5月23日前，完成毕业设计（论文）的答辩。

2. 毕业考试、学籍异动（包括延长学习期限、休学等）等工作，由所在院系组织完成，请关注院系通知。

三、研究生毕业工作的进度安排

1. 具体提交答辩毕业材料截止时间请关注院系通知安排。如因困难无法按期完成学位论文，请及时向导师和院系汇报情况。学校拟于7、8月间增加学位审议会议，尽最大可能减少因疫情对毕业的影响。

2. 不能于本学期毕业的学生，必须办理学习期限延长，延长相关事项已另行通知。

四、证书的发放与离校手续办理

国际学生办公室统筹负责制证、发证、离校手续相关工作，具体事项将另行通知。
