Notice on Teaching Arrangements of Spring Semester in 2020

Dear International Students,
In view of the rapid spread of COVID-19 across the world, China is suspending entry into China for foreign nationals, effective since March 28, 2020. Due to the outbreak situation and the suspension, some international students are temporarily unable to return to HUST. In order to do a good job in teaching management of spring semester in 2020, according to the arrangement of HUST, School of International Education is now announcing the teaching arrangements as follows:
1. For Undergraduate（excluding graduates of 2020）
a. Undergraduate programs taught in English:
All the courses will be taught online during the whole semester.
b. Undergraduate programs taught in Chinese:
The online courses will be discontinued after Chinese students return to the university. The attendance records of the online course will be kept for those students who are unable to return to the university. After applying for a deferment, exams will be put off until they return to the university.
2. For Postgraduate（excluding graduates of 2020）
Please follow the specific arrangement of your department.
3. Attention
a. For those international students who are currently in China, please wait until further notice. It is not allowed to return to campus before the official notice of HUST.
b. For those international students who are currently not in China, please wait until further notice.
c. Please actively learn epidemic prevention tips to protect personal health and safety and to minimize the impact of the epidemic on their studies.

关于2020年春季学期国际学生教学安排的通知
全体国际学生：
鉴于新冠肺炎疫情在全球范围快速蔓延，中国政府已于2020年3月28日起，暂时停止外国人持目前有效来华签证和居留许可入境。我校已经回国的部分国际学生暂时无法持目前有效来华签证和居留许可入境。为做好2020年春季教学管理工作，根据学校安排，现将国际学生教学管理有关事宜通知如下：
一、本科国际学生（不含应届毕业生）
英语授课本科生，无论学校何时安排返校，本学期均为网络教学；
汉语授课本科生，若中国学生返校时，仍不具备返校条件，不单独为其开设网络教学，认可其网上学习经历，办理缓考手续，来校后直接考试；
二、国际研究生（不含应届毕业生）
请服从相关院系的具体教学安排。
三、注意事项
1.在中国境内的国际学生，返校时间待学校统一安排，不得提前返校。
2.在中国境外的非应届毕业国际学生，返校时间待学校统一安排。
3.请全体国际学生认真学习防疫知识，做好个人防护，将疫情对学业的影响降到最小。
