致国际学生：

       中国光谷，即武汉市东湖新技术开发区，成立于1988年。现为中国第三大高新区。区内形成了光电子信息产业为主导，生物医药、新能源环保、高端装备制造、高技术服务业竞相发展的“131”产业格局。习近平主席曾先后于2010年和2013年考察中国光谷。华中科技大学地处中国光谷腹地，为光谷的腾飞提供了强有力的智力支持。  

       为使国际学生直观了解中国光谷的发展和武汉在高新产业方面取得的成就，国际教育学院特组织由国际学生（博士研究生）参加的“百名外国博士进光谷”主题社会体验活动。该系列活动将于2016年1月相继举行。请大家踊跃报名，并于2015年12月31日17:30之前携带学生证到办公室尹老师处报名。

       The Optical Valley of China, namely Wuhan East Lake Hi-tech Development Zone founded in 1988, is the 3rd largest hi-tech development zone all around China. It has developed so-called  "131 industrial structure" with optoelectronic information as dominant industry and competitive development of other industry such as biological medicine, new energy, high-level equipment manufacturing and hi-tech service. China's president Xi Jinping visited Optical Valley in 2010 and 2013 successively. Huazhong University of Science and Technology, located in the center of optical valley, has greatly contributed to the rise of the Optical Valley.

      Therefore, the school of International Education organizes an activity called "100 Int'l Doctors Experience the Optical Valley" for PhD students who are supported by Chinese Government Scholarship. This activity will be undertaken in January 2016. International students are welcome to register for it and go to Jerry from ISO with Student ID Card for registration before 17:30, December 31, 2015.
