Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is a top-ranking and national key university under the administration of the Ministry of Education, P. R. China. Eligibility and Requirements

1.Graduating high school students or obtained a senior high school diploma, physically and mentally healthy foreigners.

2. According to the regulations released by Ministry of Education, China, if parent(s) was (were) a Chinese citizen settling in a foreign country at the time applicants were born, applicants must have obtained their current foreign citizenship before April 30, 2019. In addition, the applicant must have lived outside China for at least 2 years during the period between April 30, 2019 and April 30, 2023 (The actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit signatures). This requirement shall also be met by those who apply for undergraduate study as international students after immigrating from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and obtaining foreign nationality.

Documents for Application

1. Photocopy of valid ordinary passport (expiry date should be after October 31, 2023).

2. Applicants currently residing in China must provide a copy of the page containing a valid visa or residence permit.

3. Applicants in the category of “Eligibility and Requirements 2” must provide:

(1) copies of all passports he/she used to have.

(2) all copies of visa or residence permit relevant to stay in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan.

4. High school diploma or proof of impending graduation (for applicants in their final year of study).

5. High school transcripts.

6. Physical Examination Form (Please click to download).

7. Certificate of Non-criminal Record.

8. Financial Certification/Bank Statement(5,000 USD or above).

9. Personal Statement: Introduce yourself in details, explain your understanding of China, the reasons and your expectations for studying at HUST.

10. Personal Introduction Video: Please record and submit a video in English or Chinese within 60 seconds.

11. Language Proficiency:

• Chinese Medium:

HSK4 with scores 180 or above for programs of Science, Engineering and Medicine;

HSK5 with scores 180 or above for programs of Economics, Management, Literature, Education, Philosophy, Arts and Law.

The previous degree education was instructed in Chinese or mother tongue is Chinese, HSK scores can be exempted after verification.

• English Medium:

TOEFL 80 or above;

IELTS 5.5 or above;

other certificates of the same proficiency level which are accepted by HUST;

The previous degree education was instructed in English or mother tongue is English, the English proficiency certificate can be exempted after confirmation.

12. Other supporting materials that can prove learning ability and comprehensive quality, such as award certificates, scientific and technological achievements, published papers, participation in activities, etc. 5 or more personal art works are required to apply for architecture or design related majors.

13. Applicants who are under the age of 18 by September 1, 2023 should submit the power of attorney of guardian and the letter of guarantee of guardians in China.

Application and Admission Procedures

Application Period:

October 20, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

Step 1.

Log in to the online application system at http://admission.hust.edu.cn/.

Step 2.

Choose the program, upload the required documents, complete and submit your application.

Step 3.

Finish the payment of the application fee in due time.

Step 4.

Finish the online test.

Note:

(1) The documents uploaded should be clear, complete, true, and valid. Incomplete or false applications will be rejected;

(2) All applicants should apply online through the system, other methods will not be accepted. After the application is completed, please do not mail any paper application materials or send them by email;

(3) Please check the online application system and email frequently. Applicants can log in to the system to check the admission results after March. The admission notice and the JW 202 form are expected to be sent in June.

(4) HUST will request the applicant to provide other supplementary materials or conduct a video interview.

2023年国际学生（本科生）招生简章

一、申请资格

1.应届高中毕业或已取得高中毕业文凭，身心健康的非中国籍公民；

2.根据中国中华人民共和国教育部教外函〔2020〕12号文的规定：

依据《中华人民共和国国籍法》第五条，父母双方或一方为中国公民并定居在外国，本人出生时即具有外国国籍的，不具有中国国籍。其申请作为国际学生进入我校本专科阶段学习，除符合学校的其它报名资格外，还应持有有效的外国护照或国籍证明文件4年（含）以上，且从2019年4月30日起至2023年4月30日止在外国实际居住2年以上的记录（一年中实际在外国居住满9个月可按一年计算，以入境和出境签章为准）。从中国大陆（内地）、香港、澳门和台湾地区移民并获得外国国籍后申请作为国际学生进入我校本科阶段学习的，也应满足此项要求。

二、申请材料

1.普通护照扫描件（有效期至2023年10月31日或以后）；

2.现居住在中国大陆境内的申请人需提供当前有效签证或居留许可页面；

3.属于申请资格中第2类情况的申请人，需提交：

（1）所有曾持有过的护照个人信息页；

（2）所有曾出入及合法居住在中国大陆（内地）、香港、澳门和台湾地区的签证、居留许可、出入境签章页面。

4.高中毕业证书，应届高中毕业生提交所在学校出具的预计毕业证明原件；

5.高中阶段全部课程的成绩单；

6.体检表（下载）；

7.无犯罪记录证明；

8.个人经济能力证明或经济担保证明（5000美元或以上）；

9.个人陈述：包括个人简介并阐述你对中国的了解及来华中科技大学学习的原因和学习期望；

10.自我介绍视频：时长60秒以内的中文或英文自我介绍；

11.语言能力证明：

理工科及医科汉语授课本科专业的申请人需要提供HSK4级180分或以上的成绩证明，人文社科汉语授课本科专业的申请人需要提供HSK5级180分或以上的成绩证明（汉语水平不达标者需在对外汉语教学中心补习直至满足汉语水平要求，方可申请进入本科学习）。申请人前置学历为汉语授课或母语为汉语的，经认定可免提供HSK成绩；

英语授课本科专业的申请人需要提供托福80分或以上的成绩证明，或雅思5.5分或以上的成绩证明，也可提供其它被我校认可的英语能力证明。申请人前置学历为英语授课或母语为英语的，经认定可免提供英语能力证明；

12.其它可证明学习能力和综合素质的支撑材料，如获奖证书、科技成果、发表论文、参与活动等，申请建筑、设计类相关专业需提供5幅或以上个人美术作品；

13.至2023年9月1日未满18周岁的申请人，需提交监护人委托书及在华监护人保证书。

*上述材料需提供中文或英文版本，其它语言请提供官方公证翻译件。

三、申请流程

申请时间： 2022年10月20日至2023年6月30日

第一步：

登录华中科技大学国际学生招生与管理服务系统

网址：http://admission.hust.edu.cn/

第二步：

选择具体项目，上传申请材料，确认无误后提交申请

第三步：

缴纳申请费；

第四步：

完成线上测试；

备注：

（1）上传的文件应清晰、完整、真实、有效，否则将不予受理；

（2）所有申请人需通过国际学生在线申请与服务系统进行在线申请，其它申请方式将不予受理。申请完成后请勿再邮寄任何纸质版申请材料或通过电子邮件发送；

（3）申请完成后应定期登录华中科技大学国际学生招生与管理服务系统查看录取进展，保持联系电话畅通并及时关注邮件。申请人可于3月份后登录系统查询录取结果，录取通知书和外国留学人员来华学习签证申请表预计将于6月陆续寄出；

（4）我校会根据情况要求申请人提供其它补充材料或对申请人进行视频面试。

奖励金额：2000-5000元（一次性）；
