HUST Thai Alumni of 2009 Saved People in Traffic Accident
News from Bangkok Post says that a bus with Chinese tourists on it rolled over at noon on December 20th and local rescue team headed to the site quickly while the staff of China’s embassy in Chiang Mai also hurried there for more details.Now 14 people have died and 2 were seriously injured from the accident.
Fongkatha was among the rescue members, a HUST Thai Alumni of 2009 and when the accident took place, she happened to pass by with her father. With a medical science background, she volunteered into the rescue team without hesitance and healed the wounded with her knowledge gained from university and internship.
It’s said that Fongkatha majored MBBS in our university between September 2009 and July 2015. After graduation, she returned to Thailand and has worked as an intern in a local hospital in Chiang Rai. She aims to be a doctor and better serve the society in the future.

我校2009级泰国校友车祸现场英勇救人
据曼谷邮报12月20日报道,当地时间11点30分左右一辆载有中国游客的巴士发生翻车事故,当地救援队伍实施紧急救援,中国驻清迈领馆工作人员也赶赴现场了解情况,现已造成14人遇难,2人重伤。
当时我校2009级泰国校友张学英(Fongkantha)和其父亲恰好路过车祸现场,学医的她立即加入救援队伍,运用所学医学知识和实习经验救死扶伤。
据悉,张学英于2009年9月至2015年7月在我校攻读临床医学学士学位,学习结束后她回国在清莱的一家医院实习,现尚在实习期,她立志成为一名优秀的医生以更好地服务社会。(通讯员王冰)
