Three disciplines of HUST rank top 1 in 2012 China Discipline Ranking

On Jan. 29th, China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Centerof the Ministry of Education issued the 2012 China Discipline Ranking, after evaluating 95 first-class disciplines in Humanities and Social Sciences, Sciences, Engineering, etc.

According to the Ranking, three disciplines of HUST, i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Optical engineering, and Public Health & Preventive Medicine, rank 1st inChina. Other disciplines have obtained remarkably good ranking as well: Electric Engineering 2nd, Biomedical Engineering 3rd, Journalism & Communication, Power Engineering & Engineering Thermophysics, and Public Administration 5th.

In addition, disciplines like Control Science & Engineering, Basic Medicine, Architecture, Hydraulic Engineering, Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, Clinic Medicine, Sociology, and Computer Science & Technology are among the top 10 in China.
