On July 1st, 2015, closing ceremony for Brazil Science without Boarders Program in 2014-2015 academic year was held successfully at HUST International Student Activity Center. 17 students in the program joined the ceremony. Ms. Zhao Xiaofeng, vice dean of School of International Education, Ms. Xue Jiajia and Ms. Yan Wei from International Student Office attended the ceremony. 
In Ms. Zhao Xiaofeng’s closing speech, she highly appraised students’ efforts on overcoming learning difficulties and language barriers during study in HUST, and she acknowledged students’ achievements in academic study and enrichment of Chinese experiences. She also put forward two main wishes for every student, “Firstly, when returning to Brazil, I hope all of you can introduce your Chinese experiences to people around and encourage more Brazil students to join Science without Boarders Program China, and secondly, please don’t forget your teachers and classmates in HUST that all of us will be here waiting for you to come back.” Later on, Ms. Zhao awarded Certificate of Completion to every student in the program.
Sena Zuza Lucas, student from School of Computer Science and Technology, was appointed as Student Ambassador of HUST for his active efforts in volunteer work and excellent academic performance in the university. “The program provided me with a superb opportunity to experience Chinese culture, and one year learning experience in HUST deepened my understanding towards persistence and hard work.” Lucas said proudly.
The ceremony was hosted by Ms Yan Wei who gave a detailed program review from September 2014 to July 2015. New student representative, Mr. Rafael Marques, who will join HUST in September 2015, made a speech on behalf of all new students and expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to study in China, and is looking forward to academic study in HUST in September.
HUST enrolled the first group of 18 students in Science without Boarders Program in September, 2014, and they studied in the following five schools: School of Energy and Power Engineering,Tongji Medical College,School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, School of Computer Science and Technology, and School of Economics. In September, 2015, 6 new students of this program will join HUST, and they will be arranged to School of Computer Science and Technology, School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, and etc. for further study.
7月1日下午，2014-2015学年巴西科学无国界项目结业典礼在我校留学生活动中心举行。来自该项目的17名新老学员参加了此次典礼，国际教育学院副院长赵晓峰，以及留学生办公室薛佳佳和严薇老师出席此次活动。
赵院长在典礼致辞中高度赞扬了所有巴西同学在一年的专业学习中为克服学习困难和语言障碍所付出的巨大努力，肯定了同学们在学习结束收获了丰富的专业知识，拓展了中国阅历。赵院长为同学们提出了两点希望，希望同学们回到巴西以后把在中国的经历介绍给自己的同学和朋友们，鼓励更多巴西学生加入巴西科学无国界中国项目，同时也希望同学们永远记住华中科技大学的老师和同学们，以后有机会常回母校看看，我们会在这里等待大家回来。随后赵院长为该项目学员颁发了结业证书。
计算机科学与技术学院的卢卡斯同学因在校学习期间积极参加义工活动，专业成绩优异，团结同学，尊敬老师，被授予“华中科技大学学生大使”荣誉称号。卢卡斯在谈及自己在中国学习和生活经历时说到，“巴西科学无国界中国项目给我提供了一次体验中国文化的机会，在华中科技大学一年的学习经历让我学会了什么是坚持不懈和勤奋进取。”
整场活动由严薇老师主持，严老师同时对该项目在2014-2015学年的工作进行了回顾和总结。来自该项目的2015届新生代表马奇同学发言，表达自己非常珍惜来到中国学习的机会，通过项目回顾，自己更加期待未来一年在华中科技大学的学习和生活。
我校于2014年9月起接收第一批该项目留学生共18人，分别在我校能源与动力工程学院、同济医学院、机械科学与工程学院、计算机科学与工程学院和经济学院学习。2015年9月，我校将继续接收该项目第二批留学生共6人来我校学习计算机科学与技术、机械设计制造及其自动化等专业。
