To all the international students:

Recently, the Security Office of HUST has made a spot check on dormitory fire safety, and found that many dormitories had the following fire safety hazards:

1.Some students had private connection wiring board, and combustible materials were piled up beside the socket, easy to cause the fire.

2.Some students privately changed the dormitory use for kitchen purpose;

3.Intentionally wrap up or damage firefighting equipment, including the smoke sensors.

4. Use high-power electrical appliances to cause the tripping.

In order to prevent fire accidents and protect life and property safety in the dormitory, all the students are required to respond the rectification work of the fire safety hazards in dormitory, and the following acts should not occur:

1.Intentionally damaging or moving fire-fighting or monitoring equipment without authorization is prohibited, including behaviors as intentionally damaging or covering the smoke sensors;

2.Reserve or use of flammable, explosive, corrosive, toxic substances and alcohol furnace, gas, and other hazardous materials as well as illegal electronics equipment are forbidden;

3. Use of open fire, private wire pulling, or embezzlement of public power are strictly prohibited;

4. The fire-fighting access and public area shall not be occupied.

Friendly Reminder:

1.International students should have a room self-check on the fire safety hazard after receiving the notice;

2.International students should cook in designated areas;

3.The students should purchase and use wiring board and the charger in compliance with safety standards. The old equipment should be replaced in time;

4.Unplug the charger immediately after the mobile phone filling the electricity;

5.Wiring boards and the chargers in service can’t be covered, no combustible materials stacked beside.

Each apartment will regularly check the students' room. If any irregularities, the apartment will directly issue SAFETY WARNING NOTICE to the student. Where any violation of the regulations is still not corrected, the student will be disqualified from accommodation in the apartment, also be subject to disciplinary action.

关于整改公寓火灾安全隐患的通知

全体国际学生：

近日，校保卫处对全校学生宿舍进行消防安全抽查，发现许多宿舍存在如下消防安全隐患问题：

1.私拉接线板，且插座旁边堆放可燃物，容易引起火灾；

2.一些学生私自改变房间用途，用做厨房；

3.私自包裹或损坏烟感器，故意损坏消防设备；

4.使用大功率电器，造成整栋宿舍跳闸。

为了预防火灾事故的发生，保护公寓内人员生命及财产的安全，现要求全体学生响应宿舍火灾安全隐患整改工作，不得出现以下行为：

1.不得故意损坏、擅自挪动消防器材或监控设备(含恶意损坏烟感器的行为)；

2.不得储藏或使用易燃、易爆、强腐蚀性、酒精炉、煤气，有毒物品等危险品及违章电器；

3.不得使用明火，私拉电线、盗用公共用电；

4.不得占用消防通道和公共区域。

友情提醒：

1.国际学生收到通知后，应按照要求对房间消防安全隐患进行自查；

2.国际学生应在指定区域做饭；

3.学生应购买并使用符合安全标准的接线板和充电器，对于老旧的设备应及时更换；

4.学生在手机充完电后，应立即拔下充电器；

5.接线板、充电器使用中不能被覆盖，且旁边不能堆放可燃物。

公寓部门将定期对学生宿舍进行检查，如发现有违规行为，公寓部门将给学生下达“安全警示单”。对多次违纪、且屡次劝说不改的学生，学校将给予违纪处分，并取消其入住公寓的资格。
