Dear International Students,
The HUST New Year’s Holiday is from December 30th 2018 to January 1st 2019, and the winter vacation is from January 17th to February 17th, 2019. The School of International Education wishes you a happy vacation! And the relevant matters of upcoming vacations and Spring Semester Registration are notified as follows:
I. Students who will stay on campus, please be prepared for charging electricity for your own rooms in advance and pay attention to the updated notices regarding opening time of the classroom, library, dining hall, electricity center and shopping centers, etc to arrange your study and vacations properly. Please be cautious of water, electricity and fire safety, and be careful of your own personal property.
II. Students who plan to go home or take a tour outside Wuhan during the vacations, please be sure to close your doors, windows, and leave your water and electricity cut off. Meanwhile, please be sure to carry your emergency contact information card with you, in case of any unexpected emergency. The relevant organizations will be able to reach the university when any emergency happens.
III. All students are required to make registration in the reception of your dormitory management office before 17:00 on January 14th of your personal travelling arrangements so that the university is able to provide necessary help and support.
IV. Students who need to apply for extension of residence permit, please come to the International Student Office before 17:00 on January 14th.The office will not process any resident permit application during the winter vacation.
V. Students should return to university before February 15th before the spring semester starts. Students who cannot come back in time for spring semester are requested to process leave application in advance with your own department and International Students Office.
The online registration time is from February 15th to March 3rd 2019 inHUB system (http://register.hust.edu.cn/index.jsp). Students who fail toregister on time without sound reason will be disqualified to continue study in HUST.
VI. If any emergency happens to you or any help needed during the vacations, please contact your departments, supervisors and International Student Office.

关于元旦和寒假放假及春季学期注册的通知
全体国际学生：
学校元旦放假时间为2018年12月30至2019年1月1日，寒假放假时间为2019年1月17日至2月17日。国际教育学院祝同学们假期快乐！现将做好假期期间安全注意事项及新学期注册工作通知如下：
一、假期留校的同学，一定要提前做好公寓房间充电准备，同时注意学校关于教室、图书馆、餐厅、水电中心和超市等服务设施开放时间的通知，合理安排自己的学习和生活，注意假期间的用电用水和消防安全以及人身财产安全。
二、假期回国或外出旅游的同学，请务必关好公寓门窗、切断水电，携带个人紧急信息联系卡片，以便突发事件发生后有关机构能第一时间联系到学校或其紧急联系人。
三、寒假离校前，请同学们于1月14日17:00前到各公寓值班室登记寒假期间的去向，以便于学校为同学们提供相应的帮助和支持。
四、需要办理居留许可延期的同学，请务必于1月14日17:00前到国际学生办公室办理，寒假期间办公室不受理居留许可延长事宜。
五、春季学期，学生应当于2月15日前按时返校学习。因特殊情况不能返校的，必须办理请假手续。
2月15日-3月3日为学生在线注册时间，所有学生必须登录HUB系统完成注册(http://register.hust.edu.cn/index.jsp)。无正当理由不按时注册的，学校予以退学处理。
六、学生若遇到紧急情况或需要帮助，可直接与本院系国际学生辅导员、导师或者来华留学办公室取得联系。
