To all International students,

This is to remind you of an important policy regarding passport validity for study-related visa and residence permit applications in China.

According to the current requirements of the Chinese Exit and Entry Administration authorities, when applying for a study‑type visa or extending a residence permit for study purposes, your passport must remain valid for more than 180 days from the date of application.

Please be aware that applications for study visa extensions or residence permit renewals with a passport validity of less than 180 days will no longer be accepted by the immigration office.

To avoid any disruption to your legal stay in China, we suggest that you monitor your passport expiration date regularly and take action at least six months in advance to ensure sufficient validity for all future applications.
