Dear international students, April 23, 2024
In order to help more international students experience the fun of dragon boat sports and Chinese culture of unity, friendship, and striving for excellence, enrich students’ extracurricular life, and enhance their physical fitness, the School of International Education and the School of Physical Education jointly hold the 2024 International Student Dragon Boat Invitational.
As usual, the event is composed of an English lecture on dragon boat sport and dragon boat culture, two training sessions, and the final race. The schedule is as follows:
1. The English Lecture Topic Dragon Boat Culture in China Speaker Chen Ding, Assistant Professor of School of Physical Education, Lead teacher of Traditional Chinese Cultural Inheritance Center at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology Time On April 30th (Tuesday) evening 7:00-8:00 pm Location ISO 301 |
2. Training Session 1&2 Purpose You will get hands-on experience with rowing the dragon boat, and the coach will introduce some stroke techniques and paddling basics that are important to run, steer, or hold the boat.
