为满足国际社会对日益增长的中文教育类人才的需求，促进世界各国中文教育的发展，助力国际中文教育人才的成长，教育部中外语言交流合作中心（以下简称中心）设立国际中文教师奖学金（以下简称奖学金），聚焦培养合格的海外中文教师。孔子学院、独立设置的孔子课堂，部分汉语考试考点，外国相关教育机构、高校中文师范专业/中文院系、国外有关中文教学行业组织、中国驻外使（领）馆等（以下简称推荐机构）可推荐优秀学生和在职中文教师到中国大学（以下简称接收院校）学习和进修国际中文教育及相关专业。

一、 招生对象
1. 非中国籍人士；
2. 对华友好，无违法犯罪记录，遵守中国政府的法律、法规和学校的规章制度；
3. 身心健康，品学兼优；
4. 有志于从事中文教育、教学及相关工作；
5. 年龄为 16-35 周岁（统一以 2024 年 9 月 1 日计）。在职中文教师放宽至 45 周岁，本科奖学金申请者一般不超过 25 周岁。
二、奖学金类别及申请条件
1. 国际中文教育专业硕士研究生
2024 年 9 月入学，资助期限为 2 年。
具有大学本科学历。汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（五级）210 分、HSKK（中级）60 分。提供毕业后拟任教机构工作协议或相关证明者优先。
2. 国际中文教育专业本科生
2024 年 9 月入学，资助期限为 4 年。
具有高中学历。汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（四级）210 分、HSKK（中级）60 分。
3. 一学年研修生
2024 年 9 月入学，资助期限为 11 个月。不录取享受过同类奖学金的申请者。
国际中文教育方向，汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（三级） 270 分，具有 HSKK 成绩；汉语言文学、中国历史、中国哲学等方向，汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（四级）180 分、HSKK （中级）60 分；汉语研修方向，汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（三级）210 分，提供 HSKK 成绩者优先。
4. 一学期研修生
2024 年 9 月、2025 年 3 月入学，资助期限为 5 个月。不录取护照上有X1、X2签证者。
国际中文教育、汉语言文学、中国历史、中国哲学等方向，汉语考试成绩达到 HSK（三级）180 分，具有 HSKK 成绩；中医、太极文化方向，具有 HSK 成绩，同时提供 HSKK 成绩者优先。
5. 四周研修生
2024 年 7 月或 12 月入学，资助期限为 4 周。不录取护照上有X1、X2签证者。
汉语研修、中医、太极文化、汉语言+中国家庭体验等方向，具有 HSK 成绩。可由推荐机构组团进行报名，并事先联系我校确定在华学习计划，每团 10-15 人。
6.奖学金线上项目
1) 一学年汉语研修线上项目：2024年 9 月或 2025年3 月入学。一般汉语水平考试成绩需达到 HSK（三级）180 分，提供 HSKK 成绩者优先。
2）一学期汉语研修线上项目：2024年 9 月或 2025年3 月入学。一般需具有汉语水平考试（HSK）成绩（对级别和成绩不作具体要求）。
3)专项线上研修项目：具体申请条件和申请办法见我校专项线上研修项目更新（https://iso.hust.edu.cn/）。
三、奖学金资助内容及标准
奖学金资助内容包括：学费、住宿费、生活费（四周研修生除外）和综合医疗保险费。

四、申请流程
1. 2024 年 3 月 1 日起，申请者可登录中外语言交流合作中心网站（http://www.chinese.cn）国际中文教师奖学金板块，申请国际中文教师奖学金 (接收院校选择：华中科技大学)。
2. 申请者在国际中文教师奖学金网站提交申请后，须登陆华中科技大学国际学生在线申请与服务系（http://admission.hust.edu.cn/apply）进行在线注册和申请，并上传国际中文教师奖学金申请表作为申请费支付证明。
3. 在线申请的截止日期（以北京时间为准）：
1) 2024年4月15日（2024年7 月入学）；
2) 2024年5月15日（2024年9月入学）；
3) 2024年9月15日（2024年12月入学）；
4) 2024年11月15日（2025年3月入学）。
五、申请材料
1. 护照照片页扫描件。
2. HSK、HSKK成绩报告（有效期两年）扫描件。
3. 推荐机构负责人的推荐信。
4. 提供最高学历证明（毕业预期证明）和在校学习成绩单。
5. 外国人体格检查表：请点击下载文件。
6. 无犯罪记录证明：由公安机关或执法机构签发的无犯罪记录证明。
7. 在职中文教师须附上就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信。
8. 未满18周岁的申请者，须提交在华监护人署名的委托证明文件。
六、关于在职中文教师和汉语桥获奖者
1. 在职中文教师
在职中文教师申请各类奖学金，可提供就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信，免提交汉语水平考试（HSK）证书，同等条件下优先录取。
2. 汉语桥获奖者
在各类汉语桥比赛中获得 “国际中文教师奖学金证书” 者，登录国际中文教师奖学金网站，凭奖学金证书向目标接收院校提交申请材料。

Application Guide for 2024 HUST
International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship
To meet the growing international demand for Chinese language teachers, facilitate Chinese language education around the world, and support the professional development of Chinese language teachers, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) has established the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the Scholarship) for eligible Chinese language teachers outside of China. Confucius Institutes, independent Confucius Classrooms, selected HSK test centers, foreign educational institutions, Chinese language teacher training programs/Chinese departments at foreign universities, professional associations for Chinese language teaching, Chinese embassies (consulates) abroad (hereinafter collectively referred to as Recommending Institutions) may recommend outstanding students and in-service Chinese language teachers to further their studies in international Chinese language education and related programs at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST).
HUST is a comprehensive research university under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education. It is a participant university of the former “985” Project in China, and also one of the first universities approved under the national "Double First-Class" Initiative, China’s “Excellence Initiative” for institutions of higher education, ranking among the top ten universities in China. According to the latest 2023 US NEWS and QS World University Rankings, HUST ranks 109th and 275th respectively in the world universities rankings; in the 2023 Academic Ranking of World Universities, HUST entered into top 100 in the world, ranking 91st.
HUST covers an area of over 460 hectares with green trees, favorable environment and beautiful scenery. It has been referred to the “University in the Forest” with a 72% greenery coverage. 1. ELIGIBILITY
a) Be a non-Chinese citizen;
b) Be friendly to China, have no criminal record, abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of the Host Institution;
c) Be in good physical and mental health, be in good academic and behavioral standing;
d) Be interested in Chinese language education and related work; and
e) Be aged between 16 and 35 years on September 1, 2024. The maximum age limit for in-service Chinese teachers may be extended to 45, but those who apply for a scholarship for a Bachelor’s degree shall be younger than 25 under most circumstances.
2. SCHOLARSHIP TYPES AND QUALIFICATIONS
A. Scholarship for Master’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education
The program commences in September 2024, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of two academic years.
Applicants shall hold a Bachelor’s degree. Applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK Test (Level 5) and 60 on the HSKK test (Intermediate Level). Priority will be given to applicants who may provide an employment contract with a teaching institution upon completing their studies in China or proof to the same effect.
B. Scholarship for Bachelor’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education
The program commences in September 2024, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of four academic years.
Applicants shall hold a senior high school diploma and have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK Test (Level 4) and 60 on the HSKK test (Intermediate Level).
C. Scholarship for One-Year Study Program
The program commences in September 2024, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of eleven months. International students who have benefited from similar scholarships are not eligible.
Applicants of international Chinese language education programs shall have a minimum score of 270 on the HSK test (Level 3), and an HSKK test score is required. Applicants of Chinese language and literature, Chinese history, or Chinese philosophy programs shall have a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 4) and 60 on the HSKK test (Intermediate Level). Applicants of Chinese language study programs shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK test (Level 3), and priority will be given to applicants who provide an HSKK test score.
D. Scholarship for One-Semester Study Program
The program commences either in September 2024 or March 2025, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of five months. Applicants holding the X1 or X2 visa category are not eligible.
Applicants of international Chinese language education, Chinese language and literature, Chinese history, or Chinese philosophy programs shall have a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 3), and an HSKK test score is required. Applicants of traditional Chinese medicine or Taiji culture programs are required to provide HSK test scores, and priority will be given to those who also provide an HSKK test score.
E. Scholarship for Four-Week Study Program
The program commences either in July or December 2024, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of four weeks. Applicants holding the X1 or X2 visa category are not eligible.
Applicants of Chinese language study, traditional Chinese medicine, Taiji culture, or Chinese language plus homestay with a Chinese family program are required to provide an HSK test score. The program may be organized and applied for by a Recommending Institution with 10-15 participants per group. Before the trip, a detailed study plan shall be made in consultation with HUST.
F. Scholarships for Online Programs
a) The Online Program for One-Year Chinese Language Study commences in September or March each year. Under most circumstances, a score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 3) is required, and priority will be given to those who also provide an HSKK test score.
b) The Online Program for One-Semester Chinese Language Study commences in September or March each year. Under most circumstances, an HSK test score (regardless of level or score) is required.
c) For Special Online Study Programs, please consult HUST for specific application requirements and methods of application (https://iso.hust.edu.cn/).
3. SCHOLARSHIP COVERAGE AND CRITERIA
The scholarship supports tuition, accommodation, living allowance (excluding four-week study program students) and comprehensive medical insurance.

4. APPLICATION PROCEDURES
a) Online registration will be available from March 1, 2024 on the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website (http://www.chinese.cn).
Choose Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
b) After submitting the application on the International Chinese Teacher Scholarship website, applicants need to log in to the HUST Online Application and Service System for International Student (http://admission.hust.edu.cn/apply) to register and apply online, and upload the International Chinese Teachers Scholarship Application Form as proof for the required registration payment.
The Application Deadlines (Beijing Time):
April 15th 2024（For programs commencing in July 2024）
May 15th 2024（For programs commencing in September 2024）
September 15th 2024（For programs commencing in December 2024）
November 15th, 2024（For programs commencing in March 2025）
5. APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
a) A scanned copy of passport photo page.
b) A scanned copy of score reports of the HSK and HSKK tests (within the two-year validity).
c) A reference letter by the head of the recommending institutions.
d) A certification of the highest education diploma (or proof of expected graduation) and an official transcript.
e) Physical Examination Form (please click to download).
f) Certificate of Non-criminal Record. A certificate issued by the police station or law enforcement agency certifying that you have no previous criminal record.
g) Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall provide proof of employment as well as a reference letter by the employer.
h) Applicants under the age of 18 shall provide certified documents of designation signed by their entrusted legal guardians in China.
6. POLICIES
Regarding Currently Employed Chinese Language Teachers and Chinese Bridge Award Recipients
a) In-Service Chinese Language Teachers
In-service Chinese language teachers may be exempted from HSK/HSKK certificates if they provide proof of employment and a letter of recommendation from the employer.
b) Chinese Bridge Winners
Applicants who have received the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship Certificate during Chinese Bridge competitions may submit their application documents along with their scholarship certificates to the Host Institutions directly at the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website.
