On the afternoon of October 29th and 31st 2013, international students of HUST made their visit to University History Museum accompanied by SICA members.
During the visit, International students were introduced to the past and presence of HUST, which means the history before and after the school merging in 2000. The visit not only offered them a thorough understanding of how HUST had been developed, but also showed the great importance of HUST in China’s education field as well as its outlook.
It is reported that this visit was one of “Get to know HUST” series activities for all 2013 international students organized by International Student Office. Comparing to last year, the office had made some improvements on the arrangements. First, international students could choose either Oct 29th or Oct 31st to join the visit according to their own available time. Second, each section of the museum was arranged with one volunteer English instructor, so that the international students can pay much more attention to the sections relating to their majors. And these improved arrangements indeed received positive responses during the visiting.
"This is so amazing! Thanks to those enthusiastic volunteer instructors, I learn a lot during this visit, like architecture, medical science, and chemical engineering. These courses are of vital importance during the development of this school, and I like this place.” Said by Bo Rui, a boy from Mali. And Su Wei, a girl comes from Poland excitedly said:" I’m deeply impressed by the strenuous efforts made by predecessors of HUST. And we should carry the fine traditions of HUST and make it grow stronger. I’m very thankful to the hard work done by those volunteer instructors."
By the end of the visit, all participants took pictures together.
