On October 17th, the 8th Exchange Meeting of the TPIS Program was held at the No.9 Teaching Building. Chinese language teacher, He Li, members of SICA and over 50 student tutors attended the meeting.
TPIS program（Tutor Program for International Students）aims to select a group of Chinese students as tutors to offer international students one-to-one Chinese tutoring, thereby promoting a two-way communication and expanding the outlook of students at HUST.
At the start of the meeting, Wang Han, minister of the International Student Department of SICA, briefly introduced SICA. Then, managers of TPIS Program Deng Qian and Ran Shimin gave more detailed descriptions of the program. After the program introduction, experienced Chinese language teacher He Li imparted her own work experience of teaching Chinese language to the student tutors, explaining certain problems that might be confronted in the process of teaching as well as related solutions. Her vivid demonstrations and interesting illustrations made the students burst into laughers, meanwhile, they also started to realize the tricky part of teaching Chinese language.
During the experience sharing part, former tutor Peng He and international student Li Kai shared their experience in TPIS program, affording quite a lot constructive advice to all the new student tutors.
The meeting ended up with a round of free questions. Student tutors participated actively, marking the end of the Exchange Meeting.
10月17日晚7点，由华中科技大学国际交流协会（以下简称SICA）举办的的第八届TPIS项目新老生交流会在东九A206举行，从事对外汉语教学的何利老师，SICA相关负责人和50余名TPIS项目的辅导员参加了本次交流会。
留学生辅导员项目（Tutor Program for International Students,简称TPIS）是由SICA从全校选拔、培训一批中国学生作为汉语辅导员，使其利用课余时间对留学生进行“一对一”的汉语辅导，促进双向文化交流，拓宽华中大学生国际视野的项目。
本次交流会由SICA国际学生部部长王涵对SICA的简介开始，而后TPIS项目的负责人邓迁，冉时敏分别针对本次项目做了具体的项目介绍。接着，具有多年对外汉语教学经验的何利老师现身说法，总结了自己多年积累的教学经验和方法。何老师以生动幽默的语言，具体的例子，向各位辅导员展示了教学过程中可能会遇到的问题以及相应的解决办法。现场气氛热烈，笑声连连，同时，各位辅导员似乎也开始发现对外汉语教学的过程远没有想象中那么简单。在往届经验交流环节中，优秀辅导员彭何与其辅导的摩洛哥留学生李凯上台分享了自己在TPIS项目中的经验与收获，他们结合自己的亲身体验为新进的辅导员提供了许多宝贵的建议。最后，在同学们踊跃的自由提问中，本次交流会圆满结束。
