2022 Application Guide for Chinese Language Program

1. ELIGIBILITY

  1. Applicants must hold a valid foreign passport and have graduated from high school (high school graduates can provide a pre-graduation certificate during application, and provide graduation certificate before registration);

  2. Foreign citizens, in good physical and mental health, and with good academic performance.

 

2. Documents Needed for Application

  1. Passport

  2. Academic Certificate: official certificate of your highest education or the official document of enrollment issued by the current institution. Academic documents issued in the third language should be translated in Chinese or English editions.

  3. Transcripts: Academic documents issued in the third language should be translated in Chinese or English editions.

  4. Physical Examination Form (please download the attached file below). During the epidemic, overseas applications can replace this document with a personal commitment letter (please download the attached file below), and provide official document before entering China. Applicants in China can upload personal health certificate or residence permit instead.

  5. Certificate of Non-criminal Record. A certificate issued by the police station or law enforcement agency certifying that you have no previous criminal record. During the epidemic, overseas applications can replace this document with a personal commitment letter (please download the attached file below), and provide official document before entering China.

  6. Financial Certification/Bank Statement, 5000 USD or above (No need for International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship students).

 

3. Application and Admission Procedures

Application Period: January 5 to June 30, 2022.

Step 1.

Log in to the online application system at http://admission.hust.edu.cn/.

Step 2.

Choose a program, upload the required documents, and submit your application.

Note:

  • The documents uploaded should be clear, complete, true, and valid. Incomplete or false applications will be rejected.

  • Please check the status of your admission process and the admission package tracking number through the International Students Application System or emails.

  • Application documents delivered in hard copies or sent by email will not be accepted. Only online application through International Students Application System will be reviewed by HUST International Admission Committee.

  • Applicants may be required to provide supplementary documents or take online interviews accordingly.

     

    4. Fees

  1. Application Fee: Applicants shall pay the application fee (non-refundable) of 600 CNY/100 USD in 3 days upon completing online application successfully by:

√ Chinese bank card (China UnionPay)

√ Alipay

√ Wechat Pay

√ International bank card (VISA/Master).

  1. Tuition Fee: 7,500 CNY/semester, 15,000 CNY/year

7. PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

  1. Content of Study：Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced Chinese Language Training

    Note: The university will organize placement test after enrollment and guide the students to choose the corresponding course.

  2. Teaching Mode: Online and offline teaching will be provided simultaneously.

    Note: As the COVID-2019 situation is still uncertain globally, prospective new students are suggested to apply onsite or online programs accordingly. Students outside Chinese mainland will have to follow the Chinese prevention and border control policy.

  3. Main courses：

    Chinese Courses: Comprehensive Chinese, Chinese Listening, Oral Chinese, Chinese Reading, Chinese Writing, etc.

    Cultural Courses: Tai Ji, Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, Chinese Paper-cut, Chinese Cuisine, etc.

2022 年国际学生汉语进修生招生简章

  1. 申请资格

    1.须持有效的外国护照且已高中毕业（高三应届毕业生可提交

    在读证明作为学历证明；如被正式录取，应在报到注册时提交所需的学位证书原件）；

    2.身心健康，品学兼优。

二、申请材料

  1. 个人护照

  2. 学历证明：最高学历证书，或在读学校签发的预计毕业证明。中文和英文以外的文本须附中文或英文译文；

  3. 成绩单：中文和英文以外的文本须附中文或英文译文。

  4. 外国人体格检查表：请下载文末附件。疫情期间境外无法入境的申请人可用个人承诺书（请下载文末附件）替代，在入境前补交正式体检表；中国境内的申请人可上传个人健康证明或居留许可；

  5. 无犯罪记录证明：由公安机关或执法机构签发的无犯罪记录证明。疫情期间境外无法入境的申请人可用个人承诺书（请下载文末附件）替代，在入境前补交正式无犯罪记录；

  6. 资产证明：银行账户5000美元以上（国际中文教师奖学金生无需提供）。

三、申请程序

申请时间：2022年1月5日至6月30日

第一步：

登录华中科技大学国际学生招生与管理服务系统

网址：http://admission.hust.edu.cn/

第二步：

选择具体项目，上传申请材料，提交申请

 

备注：

  • 上传的文件应清晰、完整、真实、有效，否则将不予受理。

  • 在申请过程，建议密切关注系统申请状态及电子邮件状态。

  • 请勿邮寄任何纸质版申请材料或通过电子邮件发送申请，不经过国际学生在线申请与服务系统的申请将不会被审核处理。

  • 我校可根据情况要求申请人提供其他补充材料或对申请人进行视频面试。

四、费用信息

  1. 申请费：申请人须在完成网上申请后的3天内支付600元/100美元的申请费（恕不退还），支付方式如下：

  1. 学费：一学期：7500元人民币；一学年：15000元人民币
