1. Schedule for Application
The application for 2018 autumn intake starts from
March 15th to June 30th, 2018.
All the degree and non-degree programs in all schools and departments are offered in this season. You are welcome to apply at http://admission.hust.edu.cn

Time for Application
Completing and submitting your ONLINE application accurately and punctually is crucial.
2. Eligibility and Requirements
1. Applicants for Bachelor’s degree must be senior high school graduates and be under the age of 25.
2. Applicants for Master’s degree must have obtained Bachelor’s Degree and be under the age of 35.
3. Applicants for Doctoral degree must have obtained Master’s Degree and be under the age of 40.
4. Applicants for general scholar program should have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate study or have equivalent level of education and be under the age of 45.
5. Applicants for senior scholar program should have obtained Master’s Degree or above and be under the age of 50.
6. Applicants for Chinese language course should be senior high school graduates.
Language Proficiency for English-medium Programs:
Good command of English. Applicants with good marks on TOEFL, GRE, IELTS or other official recognized test and proficiency certificate are preferred.
Language Proficiency for Chinese-medium Programs:
HSK 4 for Science, Engineering and Medicine.
HSK 5 for Economics, Management, Literature, Philosophy, Education and Law.
3. Application Document
Self-supporting applicants:
• For Chinese Language Course:
1. One photocopy of your passport
2. An official certificate of your highest education
3. Physical Examination Form (not required for applicants in China. Click to download)
4. Certificate of Non-criminal Record
5. Financial Certification (5,000-10,000 USD or above).
• For Undergraduate Programs:
1. One photocopy of your passport
2. An official certificate of your highest education; or the official document of enrollment by the current school
3. An official transcripts;
4. Physical Examination Form (not required for applicants in China. Click to download)
5. Certificate of Non-criminal Record
6. Financial Certification (5,000-10,000 USD or above)
7. Language proficiency certificate.
• For Graduate Degree and Scholar Programs:
1. One photocopy of your passport
2. An official certificate of your highest education; or the official document of enrollment by the current school
3. An official transcripts
4. Study Plan or Research Proposal
5. Two Recommendation Letters from your professors or associate professors
6. Physical Examination Form (not required for applicants in China. Click to download)
7. Certificate of Non-criminal Record
8. Financial Certification (5,000-10,000 USD or above)
9. Language proficiency certificate
10.Acceptance Letter from the professor/associate professor of HUST(Applicants for Graduate Degree ONLY).
Exchange students from partner universities:
1. One photocopy of your passport
2. An official nomination letter from the university
3. An official transcript
4. Study Plan or Research Proposal
5. Certificate of Insurance in China
6. Physical Examination Form
Note: Academic document issued in the third language should be notarized in Chinese or English editions.

4. Online Application
Step 1 Login the online application system http://admission.hust.edu.cn/.
Step 2 Choose the program and the type, upload the required documents and submit your application.
Step 3 Once you are conditionally admitted, a notification would be delivered via the system. As required, please finish the payment of application fee in time.
The application fee for Exchange Students from Partner Universities is waived.
Step 4 Upon receiving payment, the university will issue the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form in 10 working days.
Note: The documents uploaded should be clear, true and valid. Uncompleted application would be rejected.
5. Application Fee
On receipt of the notification, the candidates are supposed to check the Application Status and pay the application fee of 600 RMB in 2 weeks by:
√ Chinese bank card (China UnionPay)
√ International bank card (VISA/Master).
