Currently, international students who intend to learn Chinese language at HUST will be arranged 7-level grades according to their actual Chinese proficiency,namely,level-A, level-B, level-C, level-D, level-E and level-F and level G. Each level will be subdivided into several classes on the basis of number of students. More detailed information about 7-level grades is as follows;

Notes:
a) 1 class hour equals 45 minutes
b) To guarantee the teaching effect, the number of each class is confined to around 20.
c) 1 academic year consists of two semesters. The first semester starts at the beginning of every September and it usually includes 22 weeks; the second
semester starts at the end of every February and it usually includes 20 weeks.
d) Some courses would be added or canceled according to actual situation.
e) Chinese proficiency test will be arranged for freshmen to decide which level is most suitable for him or her. New students will go to class bearing LECTURE CARD and the bearer can change class with this card within 1 week since it has been issued.
f) The tuition for long-term learning is RMB 7.500 yuan/semester or 15,000 yuan/academic year(two semesters)
g) Certificate of Completion and Official Transcipt will be granted after the student has passed all the examinations and kept good attendance record.
