Welcome to study in Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST).

As a key base for cultivating international students under the Ministry of Education, P. R. The application for 2016 autumn intake start from March 15 to July 30, 2016 .

All the degree and non-degree programs in all schools and departments are offered in this season.

Completing and submitting your application accurately and punctually is crucial. Early submission of the application is strongly recommended.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions are based on the candidate’s academic performance and potential, as well as his/her personal accomplishments. The admissions committee reviews a number of factors – records of past studies such as Grade Point Average (GPA), study plan, personal statement, and letters of recommendation. Other achievement records and specific qualifications such as language proficiency are also taken into consideration.

The candidate’s application is reviewed in the context of the level of studies completed, quality of achievements, and characteristics of institutions attended. Finally, the appropriateness of the applicant’s academic goals and the suitability of preparation for the proposed program of studies are assessed.

 

Eligibility and Requirements

Degree or Certificate and Eligibility:

1. Applicants for Bachelor’s degree must be senior high school graduates and be under the age of 25.

2. Applicants for Master’s degree must have obtained Bachelor’s Degree and be under the age of 35.

3. Applicants for Doctoral degree must have obtained Master’s Degree and be under the age of 40.

4. Applicants for general scholar program should have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate study or have equivalent level of education and be under the age of 45.

5. Applicants for senior scholar program should have obtained Master’s Degree or above and be under the age of 50.

6. Applicants for Chinese language course should be senior high school graduates.

 

Language Proficiency for English-medium Programs:

Good command of English. Applicants with good marks on TOEFL, GRE, IELTS or other official recognized test and proficiency certificate are preferred.

 

Application document

For Undergraduate Degree applicants:

1. One photocopy of your passport;

2. An official certificate of your highest education; or An official Certificate of Enrollment for the ones still at school;

3. An official transcripts;

4. Language Proficiency certificate.

 

For Graduate Degree and Scholar applicants:

1. One photocopy of your passport;

2. An official certificate of your highest education; or An official Certificate of Enrollment for the ones still at school;

3. An official transcripts;

4. Study Plan or Research Proposal;

5. Two Recommendation Letters from your professors or associate professors;

6. Language Proficiency certificate.

 

For Chinese language applicants:

1. One photocopy of your passport;

2. An official certificate of your highest education.

 

For Exchange Applicants from partner universities:

1. One photocopy of your passport;

2. An official nomination letter from the university;

3. An official transcripts;

4. Study Plan or Research Proposal.

Note: Academic document issued in the third language should be verified in Chinese or English editions.
