On the evening of Mid-Autumn Festival, international students from all over the world celebrated the traditional Chinese festival in the square in front of the Friendship Apartment. Together with a group of Chinese students, dressing gorgeous Han Chinese costumes, all international students enjoyed their first Mid-Autumn Festival in China.

In the festival party, seven Chinese girl from YushanChina’s Traditional Culture Study Group dressed different styles of Han Chinese costumes offered incense and traditional wine to the sky and earth, and then recited a beautiful poetry. The whole ceremony lasted for more than ten minutes. This ceremony is an old ceremony passed down from ancientChina, showing the devout wishes for a bright future.

With the warm atmosphere, students fromSKEMABusinessSchoolalso joined in this party. After eating the delicious moon cakes, appreciating traditional Chinese dance, they also sang a French song as a gift for all HUST friends.

“Mid-Autumn Festival is a day for getting together with families. Even thought I can’t spent time with my families, I’m so happy I still have my friends here.” Fatine, a girl fromMoroccotold us happily.

       中秋之夜，满月当空。在友谊公寓前的广场上，一群盛装汉服的学生，对着东方出山之月，行拜月古礼，对月抚古琴。来自各国的留学生们各自献上自己国家的传统歌舞，共庆佳节。

       月色下，一张方案，桌上香炉一枚，炉前焚香一把。方案前，瑜山国学社的七位女生身着各色汉服，长裙及地，挽起的发髻上戴着发簪。上香、祭月酒之后，领首的“主献”诵读祝文。将书写着祝文的宣纸焚烧后，众人俯身作揖，叩拜，整个拜月过程持续了十几分钟。仪式结束后，一位男生用古琴弹了一曲《姑苏行》，让拜月仪式古色十足。来自各国的学生则边吃着月饼边听乐，赏月。

       据国学社的同学介绍，“拜月”也叫“夕月”，“祭月”，这个仪式自周朝始，后来各朝承袭下来。中秋月圆，又适逢科举考试中的秋闱，所以男愿“早赴蟾宫”女愿“貌似嫦娥。今日的拜月，也是对古人的男愿前程、女愿貌美的美好心愿的沿袭，更多的是对传统文化的纪念。

       此后，各国留学生参与进来。击鼓传花的环节时，来自哈萨克斯坦的小伙子马波上去表演节目，虽然一开始很害羞，在全场的掌声鼓励之下，他唱了一曲《月亮代表我的心》。接着一群柬埔寨的留学生来到广场中央，手牵手跳着舞，坐在中间的小伙子用吉他弹奏着柬埔寨民歌。

       来自法国SKEMA商学院考察团的学生唱了一首法国民谣，随后气氛热烈起来，现场开始了大联欢。各国学生都来到广场中央，手拉手围城一个大圆圈，就着音乐哼着调子跳起舞来。据悉，该考察团到我校来访四天，恰逢中国传统的中秋节，就被吸引了过来。

       摩纳哥女孩Fatine是九月份才来的新生，这她是第一次在中国过传统节日。她说：“虽然拜月的仪式不是很理解，但今晚的月亮很美，值得这样庄重的仪式。这样的日子，我也想念我的家人，跟你们一样，能一起过这个节日很幸运很开心。”

       此次活动由我校国际教育学院主办，SICA组织与我校瑜山国学社承办。
